10/10 A dreamy countryside escape with all the comforts!
We had the most magical stay at Gateham Grange Camping. We booked the private group field and horsebox, and honestly… it was a little slice of countryside heaven.
The field was peaceful, spacious, and surrounded by gorgeous views. Having the whole area to ourselves gave it such a special, secluded feel. We pitched our bell tent with no hassle and had loads of space to relax, play, and soak up the sunshine.
The horsebox was an absolute dream beautifully converted with a perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comforts. It had everything we could’ve asked for: cooking facilities, a hot shower, toilet, sink, a mini fridge, a TV, a huge battery charging point, and a toasty log burner with wood provided. Fresh towels were also laid out for us, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Sam and Lisa, the owners, were so warm and attentive. They made us feel completely looked after and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
The whole site was spotless and clearly maintained with love. If you’re looking for a peaceful, private escape with countryside vibes and all the home comforts this place is a total steal in every way. We’ll 100% be back!

Please note, this is a sole use, pop up camping field for large groups (D of E, Scouts, team building, family gatherings etc.) or smaller groups wishing to seek privacy. A maximum of 30 tents are permitted
Very helpful and quick response when had a query about their campsite.
Very easy to find, so friendly and kind.
The campsite has everything needed toilets and running water. And a bonus of cows in the next field which loved a scratch behind the ear!
