 Beautifully picturesque campsite situated close to the line of the Icknield Way, provided a perfect place to rest our legs overnight on a 180mile bikepacking trip.
Warm, clean shower and toilets.
Red Cow pub 1mi away serving great food.

An excellent site with beautiful views over the countryside. This site has a very open aspect which allows you to enjoy big skies. It is a tranquil site and for two of the three nights we were on our own, so it was very peaceful.
The ‘Field of Dreams’ has fresh water and grey water access and disposal respectively, and at the bottom of the field is the elsan disposal and also the shower and toilets.
The two toilets were clean and functional with hot and cold water. The shower again was clean and functional with plenty of hot water and no charge for its use. A couple more hooks on the wall/door would be useful to hang clothes.
Sarah and Peter were very welcoming and helpful ensuring we knew where everything was.
Please note this site does not have electric hook up, so you are a little bit closer to nature. The current rate for a campervan is £25 pn, and this is quite good value this day and age.
There are pubs close by but we didn’t go to any of them, but Sarah has details of the best ones to go to. We didn’t need a shop so have no idea where the nearest one is, but again Sarah would be happy to advise.
Audley End is close by, about 6 miles away and worth a visit. Duxford is also very close and is another good day out. Cambridge is not far away and would recommend using the park and ride to get into the city, but please check you are able to get your vehicle into the parking area.
Wimpole Hall and Anglesey Abbey are also close by as is Wicken Fen, so plenty to do.
We had a very pleasant stay and would happily return again.

Nice site, I like being on working farms.
Great views from camping field (love the 'Field of Dreams' name!)
2 toilet washbasin units and one shower/toilet unit, spotlessly clean.
Lovely rural setting and very friendly welcome.
Local pub a bit pretentious food-wise, didn't understand what most things on the menu were so settled for a burger; steak came in at over £30.
Would come again if in area.

What a lovely site with an amazing view over Cambridge. Mixture of people staying, but with only 15 spots it made it friendly and personable.
Sarah was welcoming and on hand. Showers were clean and hot.
There is only 1 but it was never an issue. 3 toilets, again clean and well stocked. B-b-q/fire pit available with some communal seating.
Great location with Saffron Walden and Cambridge being around 9 miles away. Its about 5 miles from the M11, so great for access, but still out in the countryside.
Will definitely be back

I loved this simple, peaceful and beautifully maintained site.
It was a perfect stop for me and my three dogs.
Sarah was really friendly and recommended a good route for dog walking.
A very relaxing stay.
