It's a really great way to enjoy the Portmerion village in a relaxed way. By staying on site you can just pop down, look around at a leisurely pace and at times when most have gone home.
The facilities are all there but I would have appreciated a less slippy surface in the shower and less bits of black mold around the shower tray edge.
The pitches are separated by hedges and the hardstanding is grey/black gravel. With the shade of the trees it's a bit dull and colourless but it's a fully serviced pitch.
It's a laid back vibe and we'll worth a stop over as a cool way to experience the 'village'. via mobile
It's a great motorhome stop, with varying sizes of pitches. Excellent facilities and services. Would recommend if you want to visit Portmeirion. Only downside to the area was early noise - the motorhome stop is right by the grounds/workshops, and they start early!
Portmeirion is interesting and worth a visit, but it is a weird place, as it's not a real village and it feels a bit Disney-fied.
The food was expensive, I thought, for what you got, and staff were a bit off. Also, the shops and cafes are only open during the day, so evening food is only available at both (rather expensive) restaurants - the Brasserie or the hotel. via mobile
We've visited Portmeirion in the past but never stayed. The addition of a motorhome park is genius.
Lovely, friendly welcome and everything explained in detail. Nice 'welcome pack' too, including map, details of the pool facilities and pass card to the village.
Great size pitch (we were tucked away in a corner - 12) with picnic table and hedging so very private. Yes, there was noise from people walking to/from the village as we were close to the pathway but after 6pm it went quiet.
EHU, water and TV hook up on the pitch too, but no drain?
Spotlessly clean facilities (cleaned 3 times a day!). 3 showers (waterfall shower heads) - decent sized cubicles but the floors did get very wet as shower curtain useless. 3 toilets and 3 sinks (in the ladies). Small indoor washing up room (didn't use), Elsan waste, motorhome drive over waste and recycling bins all in reception area.
Absolutely excellent value for money. We paid £65 for 1 night, for a medium size pitch - big enough for our 7m motorhome and it included entry into the village the afternoon we arrived, the evening once the public had vacated and the next day. You also get free use of the pool.
Portmeirion is a magical place at all times but it was very different, and brilliant, to experience it after hours. We hardly saw a soul. Perfect.
Have HIGHLY recommended to friends and family already and will definitely be back.

This motorhome park has only been opened for a year, they have done a lovely job with the planting around each pitch. There are numerous picnic tables within the site.
The toilet/shower block is stunning, very clean and the showers are very powerful, could have done with a grab handle in the shower, it's an age thing!
We paid £65 for our medium size pitch a night, seems expensive but when your entrance fee is about £30 per couple and included in the site fee it's actually very good value.
You can choose between a Small pitch, Medium or a large one, we found the medium size pitch was fine for our 20 foot campervan.
You can walk into the village when all the visitors have gone and take some stunning photos without having to dodge the other tourists.
Nothing really open in the evening apart from the hotel but lots of places to eat during the day.
You can use the hotel swimming pool and the hotel provides towels, we didn't use it but others were.
Beautiful coastal walks as well.
It was an experience that we wouldn't have missed.
