Stayed at Norlands CS as it was a central base to visit a number of places we wanted to go to.
It’s a lovely site, with large well-tended grass and hardstanding pitches on a small slope, and there are 2 shower rooms/ toilets, both immaculately clean and modern.
The owners, Margaret and John were both very welcoming and helpful when we talked with them, and they rightly took pride in showing us their site.
TV signal and 4G signal were good, and the water and electric utilities were well placed for use. T
He site is approx a 15m walk to the nearest pub, the Black Pig which is a nice place with nice food, and approx. 25m walk to the nearest bus stop to go to Canterbury or Sandwich. There is a nice Café at the nearby garden centre too.
Cycling is mostly on the flat and rides to Deal and Dover are fairly easy with a couple of moderate hills.
There seem to be some walks too as indicated in a book for visitors, however we didn’t try any.
Whilst we were here it was quiet with only us and one other unit, partly down to the time of year and maybe partly down to the windy damp weather we had.
Would certainly return if down this way again.

Beautifully kept site in a small village, large pitches with electric hook up.
There's one toilet/shower with dishwashing facilities, and another toilet/shower which is ok for a small site.
There is very little shade.
The owners live on site and are very helpful.
The village has a good pub (The Black Pig), a garden centre with a cafe (handy for breakfast), and, at the moment, a winery (Barnsole) all within walking distance. However, the winery is up for sale, so keep an eye on whether it is open.
There's plenty of things to see and do nearby, though you'd probably need to drive as there isn't (as far as we could see) a bus service to the village.
Recommended, will be back.

Ideal site if you are using a caravan

Excellent communication by John prior to turning up, a quick walk round and introduction to the campsite on arrival.
A very well maintained and obviously cared for site.
Amazing facilities, immaculately clean.
Highly recommended.
