This was an unplanned stop on a jaunt we’re making through France. I emailed to find out if there was a pitch available and had a very quick response from the owner Stan.
This was really helpful as we knew we had somewhere to stay very quickly. We arrived and were greeted by Stan’s brother who told us to drive up to the site and pick a spot.
Pitches are unmarked and when we arrived there was lots of choice…in sunshine or under the shade of huge firs and other trees. We had electricity and water right by us and the showers were lovely and clean and hot.
The ground was still a little soft as it’s still early in the season, so it was a bit tricky getting our caravan onto our chosen spot and off again as we left.
However, the ground will dry out very quickly with the lovely sunshine. This site is a haven of birdsong and buzzing…idyllic. I ordered a pain au raisin whilst there which filled my side plate! Whilst we were there we visited the stunning city of Laon…well worth the little drive.
Stan was very friendly and welcoming and if you’re happy to be in a little bit of heaven…no entertainment other than nature…this is the perfect spot for you! Be quick though…the site filled up rapidly whilst we were there. via mobile
