 An ok site which is easy to find. From the A303 take the A30. Pass Fair View Farm on the left which is owned by the same people. This CL is on the right, behind a variety of small industrial units. Not the loveliest entrance, but has the view to the north as per the photo.
Very easy to get to Stockbridge, smallest town in England apparently. It is on an old Welsh drovers' route and is just one street really. Has a decent Co op and many rather arty independent shops.
The river Test flows through it and is lovely, but you can't really get close to it, everything is privately owned.
It's £25 per night which is £5 too much but needs must. The owner is a nice woman, but we wouldn't stay again. OK as a stopover if that's what you want
