 Nice quiet campsite. Rang to book and charged £30 per night. Asked why it says £25 on website told they cant change the website! Price of £30 is on sign at toilets.
Put us on MH&C side even though I said we arent members! Maybe that has something to do with the price I don't know.
Our names were not on the board as you enter site so no idea which one to park on. Rang 1st No. On sign but no answer so rang 2nd No. He had no idea what was happening so rang his wife.
When he rang back he said his wife coukdnt locate our deposit (which we only paid the night before on the link she sent us) and to go to farmhouse to pay balance. Took me a few knocks at the door to rouse her. Eventually the dog alerted her by barking. Told she thought she had sent us a link to pay balance and said she would send it then.
Toilets were clean but I suspect that had more to do with us cleaning them after use rather than farmer cleaning them.
Waste basket was full on arrival on Wednesday and not emptied until Friday afternoon when we saw her cleaning them for the first time. It seems a bit lax to me.
All said it is a nice site and would visit again. Got the feeling they are new to organising a campsite so can overlook these things.

We booked via the phone after checking the reviews on here and enjoyed our stay. This is a working farm and they were mowing and collecting silage on one/two days, think combine harvester/ tractor's noise but with the advantage it attracted about 15+ Red Kites.
The caravan site is split into 2 small areas, one is a C&MH CL and the other a general public CL, both are gravel hardstanding's with the C&MH one having grass between the pitches.
The booking deposit request is sent to you via text link and I also paid the remainder the same way-
The entrance is in a layby accessed from the A75 about 1/4 mile from the top coming down the hill from castle Douglas and has no name just a no entry sign for lorries and tractors and a C&MH CL sign on 2 imposing brick pillars and the lack of signage has been mentioned a couple of times in reviews elsewhere, the winding single tarmac road between the pillars is about 300 yds long and leads to a large block of buildings and on into the pitching areas, we were allowed any pitch and were left alone.
The 2 shower rooms each side are clean and have a toilet, sink and turn on shower with shower gels etc provided, the elsan had me baffled for a bit as its separate from the block being next to the wheelie bins across the road and is a large belfast sink on the ground with a small wheel and axle in one end, lifting the axle/wheel reveal a large hole for the waste lol, one thing to mention is while the general side might be adult only the C&MH side isn't,
The farm dogs can be vocal at times as is their want,
Price inc's EHU and seems to be between £25/£30 depending on who you book through, while not full it was quite popular in the sort time we were there.

Nice small site, with Caravan and Motorhome Club (CL) at one side with nice views over a pond. The toilet block is two wooden huts each with a shower, sink and toilet.
I stayed on the small site next to it with a similar set up as the CL site but with only one toilet/ shower available (one of the wooden doors was blocked off and couldn’t be opened). The lock on the door was difficult to lock as the wooden door was swollen.
I didn’t see anyone belonging to the site when I was there, I paid £25 for night by link sent to me over the phone. Dogs belonging to farm were also running loose.
I placed an order for fish and chips as advertised on website but it didn’t arrive nor did any phone calls to explain.
Toilet facility was clean with toiletries provided which was a nice touch.
Situated close by main road, good site to use as a base for exploring and for vehicle access to castle Douglas.
