 Came across this Campsite browsing on UKCampsite.co.uk! Apprehensive as not reviewed which surprised me as it is delightful. Only booked 1 night, but is well worth a return visit.
Easily accessible from A48 Crosshands to Carmarthen Road. Turn off at Llanddarog sign then take immediate right turn down farm road. The road access to the farm excellent.
I prebooked with another family unit with children. Greeted by owner, really friendly welcome, but there was a sign on entering the farm road to pick up envelope at shower block.
Pitches are hard standing or grass /gravel.
What I could see there are about 7 pitches for casual tourers/ motorhomes. Lots of Seasonals on site. Also some tent pitches. Pitches decent size with EHU & fresh water taps near by.
So its a proper rural working farm with plenty of farm animals about in near by fields. Shower block immaculately kept but dated, with small kitchen, washing machine & tumbler. It had 3 decent family sized wet rooms, showers hot & free.
On site a lovely big pond that is security fenced but can walk around, we saw ducks & moorhens. 2 grass paddocks for children to play, there were ride on bikes & toys for them. BUT the main attraction for children was a wooden play park unfortunately was closed off, has seen better days. Would benefit from full restoration! But didn't deter the fun my grandchildren had playing in the 2 grass areas, lovely to see benches for people to sit on or have picnics
In the neighbouring Village of Llanddarog ( 10 min walk away) there is a handy shop for essentials & Bus stops. Buses go to Carmarthen about 10 min drive away or Crosshands 10 mins also away. Both places have a variety of big shops.
All in all little gem of a site.
