 Stayed on this nice quiet site.
Location is good for Chester just a short drive or Chester zoo is also close by.
The site is basic and only has 1 toilet and shower for ladies and 1 for mens but wasn't a queue so not a problem.
The price reflects the quality of amenities so fine.
The site is set in lovely countryside with fabulous views.
And owners were helpful and welcoming so will definitely be returning.

Campsite is part of a working farm, and is set in a field overlooking the countryside.
The showers and toilets are basic, but clean.
A couple of families pitched next to us, and they were a little noisy which spoilt the bucolic atmosphere.

Stayed here for two nights. Nice flat site, toilets and showers clean and hot water, wash up is outside
360 views all round, might be a small site but lots of space.
Did not mark the child friendliness as I was in my own but I would bring my grandchildren here for a few days. I think they would like it here.

Lovely welcome when I arrived unannounced by the friendly lady host.
A small flat field with views of the countryside and plenty of bird life around.
Retro 70’s toilet/shower facilities were clean and respected by all campers.
The site was almost full but the lady host was brilliant at finding a spot for everyone who turned up.
Charged by the number of people in your party rather than the pitch (although I didn’t need electricity) and amazing value.
Fully recommend. Thanks Birch Bank Farm 😁🏕️.

Lovely peaceful site wonderful views of the countryside.
Nice to see the cattle in the fields.
Facilities are basic but adequate.
Very dog friendly an absolute gem of a site.
Shops and pubs nearby
Would definitely come again.

We love the location and the variety of animals and wild birds.
This campsite is exactly what we need for our short stay to participate in the nearby Chester Deva Triathlon.
We've been 3 years now and have tried many other accommodations in the area but this is by far the best.
It meets your very basic needs and a good sleep is had.
It's very low key and trouble free.
Definitely recommend!

Whether you like this site or not will depend on what sort of site you prefer. It is a working farm, so plenty of cows to entertain you. The site has no hardstanding.
The facilities are very basic - 1 toilet, 1 shower each for male and female. No chemical waste point or grey waste point but this is reflected in the price. They do recycle.
The nearest pub is about 25 minutes walk away, but the roads are typical country back roads with no pavements - walking with a dog was a bit scary.
The views are lovely and it is very peaceful.
Access into and out of the site is quite tight - I wouldn't want to try to get an extra wide van in.
If you are looking for a basic pitch in a lovely location this is the site for you.

An excellent location for visiting Chester.
Excellent flat field for camping.
Facilities were good for small numbers eg 4/5 units. Any more then more toilets, wash basins etc are needed.
Good that there are separate male and female toilets but one WC in each is not enough.

Very helpful friendly, nothing too much trouble.
Bethany was very hospitable giving us a lift to the local watering hole, The Plough Inn where food was excellent.

I stayed here a few years ago, and it's not changed (in a good way!)
It's a basic and small site with a loo, shower and wash basin for women, presumably similar for men. Outdoors pot-washing with lovely hot water.
3 miles from Chester by cycle into Christleton and along the canal, where there is a useful Waitrose.
There's also a shop in Christleton, which is a pretty village.
It's a really useful stop to and from North Wales by train, and a nice way to start and end a cycle tour.
Currently £10 per person.
