 With nearly 40 years of caravanning on numerous sites across the UK and beyond, I would have to say that Street Farm has probably got the best shower block I have ever seen.
Always immaculately clean. 5 star hotel springs to mind. First time we have been to this site and loved every minute.
Pitches were spacious and well maintained.
The electric meter, which we had never come across before turned out to be better than we expected and worked out much cheaper than paying a set price in the nightly fee.
All in all a faultless stay and would definitely recommend.

Excellent small peaceful site with excellent facilities (still in development) - showers and toilet facilities - best I have seen for a while - clean and plenty of hot water.
Need to make sure you have £1/£2 coins for electric - happier to pay more if electric included.
A friendly place to stay - we will be back in the future.

Excellent Caravan site, would highly recommend a stay.
Such a peaceful and well kept site.
The shower/toilet block is immaculate.
The site is ideally situated for visits to York and many other areas of east Yorkshire

We were messaged the gate code by the owner Jimmy in advance of our arrival together with some details about the site. There is 'convenience to you' store where you can order items via WhatsApp which will be delivered to you. You can even order meat from the butchers in nearby Stamford Bridge which the site will collect for you!
There are a few walking routes which are easily accessible from the site details of which are contained in the welcome letter you get with your WhatsApp message along with the shop price list.
This gem of a site is ideally located for visits to York, North York Moors National Park (including Goathland where Heartbeat was filmed and Matthewsons of Bangers and Cash fame) and the Yorkshire Coast.
The village of Stamford Bridge is only a 5 minute drive away which contains Shops, Pubs and Takeaways plus a lovely car park which is right by the River Derwent.
On the site there is a water tap and coin operated electric hook up on the majority of pitches and I believe the ones without will soon have them. Everything is fresh and clean and it really is a lovely site and one that we will remember for the future. The owner is pushing the council to provide a bus stop outside as this would further enhance the site.
There is a really old wartime building as you turn off the main road which hasn't really changed much since I was a child and has been used for various things over the years. I found out from the owner that the building is now listed so it's hoped it might be turned into something nice soon.
Lovely site and a credit to its owner.

10 hard standing pitches with ehu, water and drain.
The ehu was metered but that wasn't a problem.
Very tidy site and excellent toilet block.
Will definitely be back.
No negatives.

Lovely big open site on a working farm with very generously sized fully serviced pitches (10), with a plan to double in size somtime in the future - even with this expansion the site would not be over-crowded.
As said pitches are fully serviced, however there is a coin meter for electricity (35p/Kwh). Which was fine, in summer we had the fridge on full tilt, some music, TV and cooking items were electric and found about £1. 20 was our average daily spend.
The only slight issue with the (our) pitch was that the grey waste drain was a little higher than the ground around it - took a little bit of minor engineering to ensure everything drained correctly, not a big issue.
The toilet facilities were amazing! Almost brand spanking new. The quality of the fixtures was very high, no little button to press in for hot water! Everyone seemed to appreciate the effort Jimmy, the owner, had gone to and quite respectfully made sure to leave everything in a clean and tidy state. Even the handwash was of an exceptional quality - a nice, long lasting smell - rather than the normal 2p rubbish at most sites!
Ideally placed for visiting York and the surrounding area - we WILL be back!
