We booked this online - an easy process. We were given the gate code and instructions to find the site.
Within 24 hours, we were so happy with the site and the surrounding area that we asked if we could extend our stay from 2 to 4 nights. Again, not a problem, communication is by phone or email with prompt responses.
The site is small - 8 vans - and a member of staff is on site for a couple of hours each morning.
There is electric hookup and all pitches are hardstanding.
Showers and toilets are warm and clean and there is a dishwashing room with information leaflets and a small map of the area
Each pitch has a sea view, raised above the road, and access to a beach (with pebbles) on the road into the harbour. If you have a dog, the beach round the corner has less pebbles and a lovely green area in front.
The village of Cromarty has a relaxed feel with several shops, a post office, bakery, pub, hotel and plenty of choices to eat.
There is a small ferry to Nigg - foot passengers and only one motorhome at a time - or you can climb one of the Sutors.
There was always something to watch out at sea and we never tired of the view.
Booked and paid online and received instructions on where the site is and the code for the gate.
The site is a raised site, so above sea level, which gives great views over the Cromarty Firth and Nigg Bay, there is a very quiet road in front of the site, which you can cross onto the pebble/sand beach area.
A short walk (half a mile or so) on the flat brings you into Cromarty, there are a mix of shops, Cromarty Stores, a bakers, post office, museum, thrift shop on the walk in there is a charity shop/hut. Places to eat definitely recommend Sutor Creek.
On site the toilet/showers were immaculate, including a disabled wet room, hot (radiators in each one) lovely and toasty. In the Pot wash area there are small maps for you to have of where everything is in Cromarty.
The guys who look after the place are extremely helpful and friendly.
There are picnic benches on site and at the top end of the site a viewing platform with seat.
First time stayed, wont be the last.
