Great site. Well kept. Excellent enclosed pitches, very spacious. Good sized lake and dog exercise area. Plenty of room for multiple dogs at once although it did tend to be one pitch at a time- (we just timed it like that)

Fabulous wardens with lots of information and friendly to chat with. Nice walk to the river nearby. Other users managed to walk to pub further up the footpath.

Lots of sun exposure so great to recharge batteries if solar powered. Gate padlocked for security at entrance. Felt very safe as a solo traveller.

Could see and hear the horses from the riding school next door which was nice to watch them come and go and the sheep also came to the fence regularly from the next field which was nice to see they weren’t bothered by the dogs.

Was told very little phone signal on site and that was true, not a bar at all for me.

Low facility score due to only toilets and wifi atm but upgrades are being made. Wifi is reliable and covered the entire site.

Pitch was £35 a night- worth it for the dogs to be so relaxed and free roaming within pitch.

We had an enclosed pitch, which had been made safe with finer mesh for small dogs.

The site was lovely with geese and swans wandering around the lake and sheep in the next field.

The enclosed dog field was great with a flag to indicate when occupied. The toilets were clean.

But by far the outstanding feature was Isabel and her family. Very informative in arrival. Sadly we had a lot of rain and when we came to leave we got stuck. Isabel tried bringing wood to drive on, still no joy. She had to call her dad back from his day off and he towed us out. We were so grateful.

Only been open 4 weeks and lots of work going on. They have a vision and are working hard to achieve it. We look forward to our next visit.

Very little phone signal. EE seems to have been best.

Fantastic site with its own small lake.

There are enclosed pitches so they are perfect if you have dogs with you as they can just roam free in your own area. There is also a dog exercise field which is huge and fully enclosed so dogs can run free.

Campfires are allowed.

There are toilets on site but no showers as yet, they are going to be built very soon. Currently there is no drinking water available as they are waiting for a filter but they hand out large bottles of water for your stay.

This site is family run and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.

There are no pubs or shops nearby but that didn’t bother us as we brought everything we needed for the weekend.

We loved this site and will definitely be visiting again.

The owners have lots of ideas to improve the site and I look forward to following their progress.

We had a great weekend stay camping 6 of us with 3 tents & 2 dogs pitch sizes excellent straight facing the lake perfect setting in a morning with a cuppa!

Lovely walks around the lake with the dogs while watching & feeding the swans.

Excellent hosts nothing was to much trouble always popping over to make sure we had everything we needed and an endless supply of wood for the fire.

We even got a goodie bag and a doggie goody bag on arrival as it was their first weekend opening

2 toilets on site with a sink perfect for a quick freshen up in the morning.

We are already looking to book again 😊
