We chose this site from the ACSI book for an overnight stay on our way south. It is situated on the edge of a village in the Cevennes National Park, a very picturesque setting.
We followed the directions in the ACSI book, the site was easy to find, but the turn under the railway bridge at the entrance is quite narrow, caution is needed.
The site is flat and grassy, on the banks of the Lot. It has 2 sections, divided by a bridge. Open areas with few pitch dividers, but EHU posts at regular intervals. Some sections of mobile homes, and there is an outdoor pool near the entrance. The reception is at the entrance, the friendly Warden came from the house opposite to check us in. Also next to reception is a shop and bar, neither of which we used. We were invited to choose a pitch in an area not far from the entrance, pool and facility block.
The facility block we were asked to use is beneath the house, appears to be newly refurbished, and has means of being heated. Very small though, just 1 toilet, 1 shower and 1 basin in separate cubicles. Washing up sink opposite, though there were a couple of sinks outside too.
There were several units on site and the facilities were often in use, so an explore found another block not far away in the other section, but most of the cubicles were locked.
Walking round the site showed it to be quite extensive, lots of shady grass by the river, and some buildings which may have been used by groups.
We cycled into the village, just a couple of minutes away. A good bread shop there which also sold some other groceries. Not a lot else, Church at the top, but worth a walk round. Stunning background hills.
The site is probably a popular holiday centre, with local expeditions or cycling, however we would use it again for overnight
