The site is close by the river ure and you can go on the river from here. Paddleboards are very popular.

The site is very well maintained, the bell tents are roomy and the beds are comfortable. The shower and toilet are like ones you’d expect in a 4* hotel.

Lots of thought has been put into providing a relaxing time away. There’s a communal fire pit for everyone to use and a small grassed area.

I had a reflexology treatment and an Indian head massage whilst there as Jo the co owner of the site is a qualified practitioner.

You can walk over the bridge to Aldwark village or the other way to Great Ouseburn and Boroughbridge. There’s a nice little shop in Great ouseburn.

Drive into knaresborough/ harrogate or go to York the other way
