 Camping Municipal les Berges du Guiers Saint-Laurant-du-Pont Lovely little site, very clean not very many showers + toilets etc. But all clean and there was a man there cleaning things even in the evening.
The sun doesn’t come up until about 8 am because the village is in the lee of mountains. Beautiful setting under mountains, little river going past very quiet nothing exciting for kids; it’s a normal Camping Municipal and cost 18 euros for the two of us with one car and two tents.
The town has shops, an Intermarche supermarket somewhere, a bank, even a hospital. The pitches are grass and the place is very quiet with a bench style table in the centre where you can do your cooking if you are travelling light.
Tent pegs easy to insert. There was some road noise from the village but not too bad. Reception was open till 7 I think in high season. When we came back on a weekend, first week of August, it was full – no space for us. The wi-fi seemed to work.
