We had wanted to try as many naturist sites as we could on an extended tour of France and Italy. This was our first visit to Mayenne Nature and we were very happy with our visit there. It is naturist club site which is run by its members.
The driveway from the village to the site is quite long and narrow, but with care caused us no problems in an 8 metre motorhome. There is a bell to ring at the entrance gate, and we were soon met by one of the site's members and shown to our pitch.
We were greeted by the club president and he pointed out where the EHU was, as it was not obvious. He also showed us the fridges in the reception where drinks and ice cream are available, all on an honesty box basis, which was a nice touch.
The site is very natural, as suggested by the name of the site. It is also very friendly and peaceful.
The pitches are all on grass and have EHU. Taking a walk around the site was a very pleasant stroll and we soon came across the lovely swimming pool.
The toilets and showers were clean and well maintained.
We prefer going to club sites at the weekend, as normally there are more people there. We enjoy the social aspect of naturism so that works well for us. We were invited to the Saturday night Soiree, in the large communal covered area, at a cost of just a few Euros. The food was delicious, cooked on the BBQ by some of the members. A Kareoke session followed the meal and a lovely night was enjoyed by all.
We normally always leave a naturist club site saying how friendly and welcoming it was to us as strangers, Mayenne Nature was no different and we will return.
