Sisteron is a pretty town which belies the first impression when you view the houses from across the river. It is worth visiting especially on market day, Saturday. The Citadel is an imposing structure. 7. 50 € entry fee, no concessions.
This site has 141 pitches. A large and small shower block. The small one was being refurbished while we were there.
Variable provision of hot water. I found the showers to be quite narrow.
We were pitched around plot 123 where pitches enjoyed full sun, part shade and full shade. We all needed ramps to some extent to level up.
We nearly all shared our pitches with a colony of large snails, very noticeable on damp mornings.
There is a restaurant on site but the service was very slow for our rally meal for 31 people. The food was reasonably priced.
Security is low level with no cameras, which we could have benefited from, as several of our units were visited one night whilst asleep.
