Came here as part of my 2026 European trip during the heatwave in June 2026.
The staff at the campsite were friendly and welcoming.
The pitch I was allocated near river was spacious, surrounded by hedges on both sides.
The site was quite nice, however, somewhat let down by its facilities.
The water in the facilities block closest to me was not very hot, however, I believe someone must have mentioned it to the staff as it was noticeably hotter the next morning.
Toilet papper rolls were placed on top of the dispensers rather than being secured inside them, and they had been dropped evidently.
One has to pay to use the chemical disposal unit for a token to be obtained from the reception (I bought 2). About 1. 50 EUR, however, I could be wrong. Not an issue as such, however, this additional chargable service is not mentioned on their website or booking.
In addition, the machine was broken when I tried to use in that it would not accept the token for the door to the CDP to be opened, and I had to request for help from the reception. Eventually, they managed to open the door for me to empty my toilet cassette, however, no water was available to rinse it out.
The staff were very apologetic afterwards, and they did not charge me for an ice lolly as a gesture of good will.
Another issue I had was that the reception was not always opened as advertised; perhaps they were busy with other duties around the site. However, it was a tad annoying when I tried to get something from the chillers during hot days to find they were closed, hey ho!
The town itself was pleasant, and one could walk up there via the road for vehicles rather than the steep steps.
The best thing about this campsite was its proximity to an excellent local restaurant which I would highly recommend as the meals I had there were very nice.
All in all, it was pleasant enough stay.
