We stayed at Campingplatz Munster on the way from northern Germany towards Cologne and then the Mosel (German part of the Moselle). It is easily accessed from the autobahn to the west of the city (the site itself being to the south-east of the city itself).
The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, English is spoken. The reception area also contains a small shop, tourist information and the local bus timetable. At the time of year we were there, bread etc were only available at the weekends.
Our pitch was on a gravelled section embedded within grass and there was a hardstanding area roughly adjacent where the to the door/awning would be, reception advised on the best way to pitch to make use of this. Access to some of the pitches is a bit tight. Water and EHU were nearby.
The sanitation blocks are very good, clean, modern and comfortable with the showers being quite roomy. The showers require use of a token which can be bought in the sanitation block itself, if gives you about 5 minutes of plentiful hot water.
On site there is a bar and restaurant which was very popular, we had a couple of very hearty and enjoyable meals there. Also on site is a small cafe but we didn't use it.
In the immediate vicinity there are restaurants within 600m of the site entrance for more choice, there is also an outdoor swimming pool. The bus stops are within 400m of the site entrance, the service is regular and runs quite late.
Munster itself has some quite old and interesting architecture including a cathedral, there are many bars and restaurants as well as plentiful shopping. We felt our one days visit was sufficient.
There is a stellplatz adjacent to the site for those motorhomers on a budget.
