 We like to stay at Morris Leisure sites as the facilities and well looked after and wide pitches are always first class, and Stanmore Hall is no different. We took advantage of the 3 for 2 nights offer on this particular stay.
The reception team are helpful and friendly, and the shop and info area in a conservatory are very good.
Having stayed here a few times we were aware of the drawbacks the site has for Motor homers who don’t want to take your ‘van off site, that being its proximity to walk into Bridgenorth (50m approx. ), no local pub within walking distance (although we did find an excellent pop up ‘Tiny Bar’ on site) and the bus stop to go to Bridgenorth is a 10m walk away along a busy road. The site is well laid out around a large body of water that attracts various wildlife and lots of birds, and is a pretty setting.
As we had already decided that as we wanted to visit the Black Country Living Museum whilst at Stanmore Hall, we would have to therefore get there in our MH. It is a brilliant place to visit, with so much social and industrial history on show, ably supported by knowledgeable guides. We also took a leisurely walk into Bridgenorth, visiting the shopping area and some of the 22 pubs the town has on offer, and caught the bus back up the hill.
The bar on site was cosy and served draught beer as well as wine and shorts, it was certainly an excellent addition to this site.

Staff so helpful a great team. Amazing location, beautifully maintained and facilities immaculate.
Some pitches slightly sloping which in our case needed ramps. The vista across the lake made up for a small inconvenience.
Wildlife included a peacock, peahen ducks geese, Morhens all clearly enjoying the location as well.
Well stocked shop for all your ‘I forgot it’ items
Great book swap as well.
Key question ’would stay again’ Absolutely and looking forward to a we visiting some of the other Morris group sites.

First time visiting this site and found it to be a lovely peaceful site with a small lake in the centre.
Staff were very friendly, facilities a little dated but very clean.
Stanmore Country Park was only a few minutes walk away and Bridgnorth around 40mins.
The site has a small bar and games room which unfortunately only opens at weekends.
We stayed in the week. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Site was not too busy and quiet apart from a nearby barking dog which barked at every dog which came anywhere near. The adult only hard standing area is probably in the worst part of the campsite so wouldn't book it again. Strangely none of the pitches are quite level anywhere on the site but maybe that's done for drainage reasons?
The staff are extremely pleasant and the facilities are dated but clean. There are no doors on the individual basins - just curtains. The showers are very good.
The location is reasonable but probably better if you have a car. The bus back didn't arrive so we got a taxi back from Bridgnorth. Very close to a large NT property with plenty of MH parking.
We were expecting excellence based on the advertising but in reality it was just "Good".
The price was competitive for the UK with a free Tuesday night and CMC discount.
The site has a good atmosphere- very chilled out. Pleased to have visited but wouldn't rush back.

Absolutely first class campsite. Best we have been to.
So quiet and calm.
Lovely lake, peacocks and moorhens with babies.
Very clean facilities.
We will be back.

Just returned from 3 peaceful nights. For us its one of the sites we`d like to keep to ourselves. We just chilled out not going anywhere just enjoying a few days to chill.
Staff were very friendly and kept the site spot less.
Lovely lake to walk around with the dog and a small dog walk area.
Small shop at reception with the things you`ve forgotton or broke?
Highly recommend a visit.

Very pretty site with lovely grounds and a lake that's beautiful when lit at night.
Stayed on a nice level fully serviced hard standing pitch with a view of the lake one way and fields the other way.
Excellent toilets facilities, small shop, bar that's open at peak times. And nice to see they still have waste bins at the water/waste points.
Unlike club sites who have downgraded their service in so many areas.
Plenty to do in the area and the pretty market town of Bridgnorth is a gem with it's cliff railway.
Definitely a site I'm looking forward to coming back too.

Fantastic site with excellent facilities, close to local attractions.
Close enough to walk into Bridgnorth.
Site wardens are very helpful very pleasant people. We wish them well in their new upcoming post.
Facilities were kept spotless and warm.
Will no doubt go back in the summer months

Lovely site enhanced by the wild life attracted to the lake, .
You can walk into Bridgnorth along the River Severn if you turn right out of site then take first right road (chapel lane) once you reach the village cross the main road and the footpath down to the river is almost opposite, great for dogs too!
Pitches are spacious and facilities spotless.

Spent four nights here from 4th to 8th July 2024. A very warm and friendly welcome from the staff and we were booked in quickly and efficiently.
Super helpful staff in the shop. Pointing out best ways to get into town and possible routes if walking.
Bridgnorth Town is an absolute gem of an area. Plenty of quirky shops plus a large market on Saturdays.
Great pubs as well are available for the real ale lovers.
Nearby bus stop gets you into town (£4 for two). We got an Uber back which cost only £6.50.
Everywhere on the site is spotlessly clean and we will definitely go back.

Easy to find site, friendly, simple and efficient welcome, having requested two adjacent fully-serviced pitches (meeting up with family).
An excellent site kept in immaculate condition with the bonus while we were there of a pop-up bar, pizza and BBQ facility at weekends.
There is a new Aldi store just 5 minutes by car and the town itself is 10 minutes away. An on site shop supplying basics, well laid out pitches, also minimal road noise at night.
An excellent site with many local attractions - heritage railway, National Trust properties - a good centre for sight seeing.
We look forward to returning for another visit.

Beautiful site, well maintained and kept to usual Morris Leisure standard.
Facilities were exemplary and the wardens, both pairs were friendly, welcoming and approachable at all times.
Lovely to see squirrels, peacocks and ducks wandering all around the site.
We could hear road noise but only the noisy vehicles, very quiet at night.
We walked into Bridgnorth and back and it was hard going to be honest and although there was pavements, they were narrow from overgrown hedges and very much too close to the busy road.
We felt quite vulnerable as pedestrians. I believe there is a bus service but it doesn't run on a Sunday. The walk was also very hilly so fitness levels were tested.
Bridgnorth, the town, beautiful both in architecture and ambience. Lots to see and do.

This site is a gem!, so clean and well kept ideally located to visit numerous places.
On arriving the wardens where friendly and welcoming and due to my wife having a medical condition they excelled in everything they could to ensure our stay was a wonderful experience. Nothing at all was too much trouble.
I thank the wardens for all they did amazing people. We will return hopefully inn the near future.
