 A really good Site. Family-run and excellent contact before and during the stay.
Facilities available were great, site was clean and well presented.
Close to local facilities, and a bus to Stamford only minutes away.
A1 is close by, but not heard.
Quiet peaceful nights.
Recommend to others and we‘re likely to use this again, and again.

Really nice site easy access and good communication on booking.
Listing was as described.
Great location with a local pub close by.

The site is very convenient for walking into Stamford (40-45 mins walk) and is a 15min drive to Rutland water. It’s only a 5min walk to local pub or a garden centre and there’s a fuel station & shop 10 mins walk from site in the direction of Stamford.
The site is on a slight slope but nothing that needs levelling ramps to be used. Site facilities are quite basic with the Elsan/Sceptic tank facility being awkwardly tucked under a conifer hedge.
There’s also no obvious place to empty grey waste water unless you can lift your ‘wastemaster’ up and into the sceptic tank that stands about 18” above ground level.
There are male & female toilets but these look to be reserved for the number of people living on site in touring caravans in the top/back field.
Site owners do quickly respond to emails submitted through UK Campsites with instructions on the site gate codes & where to leave payments etc but neither ourselves or the other three units visiting site came into contact with the site owners during our stay.

Clear signposting to the site. Warm welcome on arrival.
Lovely site, lots of space between touring vans.
Site well kept with plenty of bins and elsan points Toilets & Showers very clean and spacious.
Lovely walks around the lakes, plus a on site bar/restaurant and play area for children.
Very popular spot for those who fish.

My wife and I recently spent a few days here in our motorhome, and had a lovely experience. From start to finish, the stay was seamless and incredibly relaxing.
Shortly after we arrived, the site owner, Emma, came over to welcome us and introduce herself. It was such a lovely, thoughtful gesture, which we appreciated. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality these days!
We loved how spacious and open the grass pitches were, giving us plenty of room to settle in. The electrical hook-up was a breeze to use and totally reliable. The site offers a simple, no-frills experience; there’s no shower block and the toilets weren't available, but the very reasonable rates make this a fair trade-off for such a lovely location.
If you have dogs, this site is a paradise. We had our two dogs with us and enjoyed fantastic daily walks locally, including a brilliant trek into Stamford and back.
• Stamford: We enjoyed some great dinner and drinks in town.
• Locally: We also had a truly lovely meal at the local pub just 5 minutes walk from the site.
All-in-all, this was a brilliant visit. We’ve already decided that we will definitely be returning. If you’re looking for a well-run site, within walking distance of a wonderful pub and historic Stamford, with a warm welcome, look no further!

Convenient site close to Stamford and A1. Well cared for, with some sloping pitches so levelling ramps needed.
Next to quite a busy minor road but well enclosed by tall conifers.
We found some nights to be particularly noisy from traffic on the A1 so if you are susceptible either bring earplugs or book another site. Toilet block but not in use.
We have stayed at sites with better, fully serviced pitches and facilities for the same price.
But -position is key if you need a close stopover to the A1.
Emma is lovely and a very attentive host.

Absolutely lovely site in a great location.
Nice big pitch,
It would be great if there were on site toilets available but it won't stop me from rebooking that's for sure

Stop over on our way south.
Ideal location near A1 but very tight entrances be aware.
Never seen any body although when I booked they said they might be away.
£15 with out hookup or £20 with. Great value and plenty of space.
No facilities other than water and elsan but I was told that when I booked.
Will definitely return.

Another enjoyable stay on the outskirts of Stamford.
Nice quiet site with easy access to the major routes.
A good walk into town which is just how we like it.

Lovely adult only site, quiet tucked away, very tidy, lady owner was helpful.
Grass pitches worried me so we were allowed to stop on the wide gravel entrance road. It’s free draining on the grass and should be ok but not willing to risk it.
Excellent pub in easy walking distance ………
16a electric pitch was £20 a night, we will be back.
