 You can see from pictures of the site that it's on a large sloping green field, quite high above a golf course which is itself above the sea. You definitely need your chocks!
This means you get great views of the Firth of Forth, the Isle of May and the opposite Fife coast as well as of the sunset. But it can be very windy and bleak, even in the early summer sunshine.
Like another reviewer, we were allocated a pitch but allowed to choose a nicer one when we asked (is this a regular policy ?).
We were near the 'main' touring caravan and motorhome facilities which were truly excellent - modern, warm, clean and spacious.
Wifi is patchy; we had to walk up to the facilities block to get any connection.
There seem to be only 2 walks from the site, one across the golf course and into pleasant North Berwick where the truly superb Sea Life centre is very much worth a lengthy visit. (It has a good café too). In the other direction, the coastal path below the golf course leads eventually to the very good Drift Café; there are great views of Bass Rock going this way. But the path stops there and it would be another 1 1/2 miles along a road to get to the castle after which the site is named. We drew the line at that and went in our motorhome to the very good castle although we normally don't like taking our vehicle off site when we are pitched up.
There was no café or restaurant operating on the site while we were there although they sent us an email after we'd gone asking us to rate their facilities including bar and restaurant!

Summary
Wanted a site near North Berwick and this is within walking distance, the are two supermarkets nearby for supplies. No local pub - have to walk into town for that.
They do allocated pitches, but will accommodate requests to take a different pitch if required.
The site is well kept, very clean. The staff are friendly though a mid stay check on us would have been welcomed. Stayed for 7 nights in a large tent (not over 24s/m).
Price.
Cost wise it is one of the more expensive I've stayed on, but I was told its competitive for the area. A quick search of the nearest 2 sites shows one a little cheaper and one a little more expensive so I think its about right. But I would say on price is that if facilities are closed, then the price should be cheaper for those nights (see below).
Location
On the outskirts of North Berwick, it is a trek over a golf course to the town. For those that prefer to drive North Berwick does offer free car parking though East Lothian council is doing its best to take that away! North Berwick is a charming small town, not over spoilt with chain shops and has several gift/other shops worth exploring. The new bookshop (for a local hospice) is excellent with a great cafe in it. Direct train to Edinburgh runs regularly but beware of cancellations as there is no other service.
Showering and Washing Up.
The nearest facilities are not the best on site though, the showers very small and difficult to undress/dress and keep things from getting wet. Your better off walking the distance to the ones near the touring caravans as these are heated, much larger and have music playing in from the ceiling! Also the nearest facilities is closed when the site is quiet, which was awkward as the next nearest one has slightly less friendly showers, we used the main facility block instead from then on. It was useful to have a freezer nearby for recharging ice packs, not everyone brings electric storage with them. There are two sinks for washing up at each block, those at least kept working even when the block itself was closed.
Park Rules
The park does have a lot of rules which I don't mind and can make a site more pleasent for all, however they were not always enforced by the team and confronting groups of children and teenagers is not something I relish so after 1 disturbed evening we chose instead to leave the site for the evening instead of having a quiet sit down.
Wildlife
One thing to look out for, nothing to do with the site, is the birds. We managed to attract 1 seagull that kept returning. Ripping open a bin bag is easily tidied but when it stole my lunch when my back was turned that was worse. It also later took a bag of wet wipes thinking it was food but dropped them - just something to be aware of!
Overall
I'd say this a 7/10, get some improvements made to the facilities for tents and have the staff on site be more active/prominent throughout the site particularly in the evenings and it would be higher.

Beautifully located site set above the sea with an excellent view out to Bass Rock. Easy walk into North Berwick, a lovely town with lots going on.
Lovely coastal walks and cycle routes and a walk up to Berwick Law is worth it for the view.
Well organised and maintained site. Would stay again.

This is our favourite site overlooking the sea, showers are the best I have ever seen individual rooms with sink and shower and large changing area and always kept spotless.
Tesco 5 minutes walk away and north Berwick about 20 minutes walk via the golf course.
Playground with a zip wire for children plus a games room.

Most expensive site of our week's trip - a Premium pitch (HS with EHU) was £46pn. The cheaper grass pitches were firm despite recent rain, we'd try those if we return. Pitch allocated on arrival, no choice; map showed all hab doors to face the same way, though we weren't told this; chocks essential as it's on a hillside.
Excellent showers in large individual rooms; free hair dryers; facilities cleaned twice a day and not closed during this. Plenty of water taps and grey water drains dotted around the site.
Cracking views to Berwick Law, Bass Rock & sunsets; golfers usually in earshot at the nearby tee - the walk into town crosses the course: watch out for golf balls. Very stiff breeze off the sea after a warm day.
Disappointed that the dog walk shown on the website's map - a key reason for staying here - has been converted to serviced touring pitches. So people came close past our pitch (53) regularly, to walk their dogs on an open area nearby instead. Otherwise, it's a walk down to the beach (15 mins).
Interesting enough small town, shops mainly catering to visitors; excellent ice cream parlour opposite the war memorial; didn't visit the Seabird Centre, but the harbour is busy & you can hire wheelchairs that can go onto the sandy beach. Recommend "Rachael at the Sail Loft cafe", above the yacht club there, for lunch with a view (dog friendly too).
The walk down to town goes past 2 "car" parks with even better views, that are rammed full of MHs and campers staying for free, many for the summer; a local resident said any signs prohibiting this just get taken down.

Warm welcome at reception with a handy map giving clear directions to the pitch, as well as how to pitch to ensure maximum privacy between pitches, which was very helpful.
The pitch was a good size and a handy distance to the toilets and washing up facilities. It had been very wet, but the pitch seemed to be draining well, well kept and level. There were plenty of picnic tables too, which was a lovely addition to have.
The toilet and shower facilities were fine and well kept - I just wish that they were as nice as the ones for the caravans/motorhomes which were lovely and included a family room which would make a real difference when tent camping and you have no other facilities to fall back on.
The campsite location is lovely, with parts of the site having views across the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock. It's a short walk to the beach, about 25 minutes walk to the town centre and 10 minutes walk to Tesco, although all are easily reached by car too. The children's play area was a big hit and the games room was welcome when the weather wasn't so friendly.
I would definitely visit again.

We had a lovely weekend here toilets nearby were always immaculate. Friendly staff and it’s located in such a charming seaside town!
We went on the catamaran boat trip today before returning home it was so much fun and very informative on the seabirds, and history, well worth a trip.
The whole experience was an absolute delight we will be returning in the Easter holidays.

Amazing location, overlooking Bass Rock and quite close to the shore. Facilities excellent and we had no problems with the pitch.
Not a sheltered site, it was quite windy one night, we got a bit buffeted in the Moho.
Big Tesco 10 mins away on foot with fuel station and everything you’d need for a stay here. Walk into North Berwick about 20 mins along the sea front via the adjacent golf course.
Highlights are the Sealife centre with boat trips, walk up Berwick Law (hill) and great views. We also walked to Tantallon castle about 2 miles south of the site ((along the road out of town) good for an explore around various levels with a few precipitous views down to the sea.
Has a children’s play area and indoor games room for bad weather days.
Ice and relaxed visit for us, I’ve heard it does get very busy in holiday season.
Loved this site and the surroundings.

This is a lovely site with excellent, very well maintained and spotless facilities.
We found the pitch (with EHU) to be of a good size with plenty of room between us and out neighbours.
The staff were really helpful and polite.
The views over Bass Rock are spectacular and we were really lucky to see a magnificent sunset.
North Berwick and the coastline are very near with some lovely beaches within easy walking/driving distance.
We will definitely be coming back!

Nice site overlooking the sea with good shower and toilet facilities, and friendly staff.
The site is not far from the local town which is very good with cafes and shops.
We had a grass pitch with EHU and there was plenty of space around the unit.
Picnic tables close by to all units.
There is a lot to do in the area the Museum of Flight is not far away.

The location is amazing, incredible views over the sea, North Berwick and Bass Rock.
Facilities pristine, showers good, a bit more water pressure needed. Staff super friendly and helpful.
10 minute walk down to beach, another 10 to town. The town is quaint and bustling with tourists with loads of independent shops. There are several great beaches and the boat trips out to the islands leave from the lovely harbour.
We took a day out to the National Museum of Flight. 15 minutes drove and a brilliant day.
Back on site the ehu are every other pitch so you need a long cable if not you have to run cable across front of next pitch, pitches aren't all level.
On the map it shows which way to pitch but not everyone follows so some people had caravan awnings from next door opened on to their pitches or campervan doors adjacent. It wasn't enforced in any way which made the instructions seem a bit pointless and cars were parked wherever which added to it feeling a bit chaotic.
Above said we still really liked this site, its not cheap but location and views are great. If they sort out pitching and parking it would be hard to beat.

Large site with spacious pitches and good facilities.
Nearby, North Berwick is a lovely town and definitely worth a visit. Also, Edinburgh is easily accessible from here.

Well appointed amenities which are kept spotless.
Easy access to the beach via a shortcut over the golf course or the Ladies Walk (Glen).
Tesco and Aldi nearby and all manner of shopping on the High Street.
