 We had another lovely 3 nights at our favourite weekend site. Everything was as good as ever with the added bonus of a bonfire, fireworks and BBQ on Saturday evening for bonfire night.
The weather was pretty poor but we still had a great few days. The toilet block was toasty warm which was great considering the weather and even thought here was a lot of heavy rain, it seemed to drain away quite quickly.
This area of Morecambe Bay catches the wind and it was very windy one of the nights we were there but the pitches all have hedges which goes some way to providing a tiny bit of shelter, however, there were a few people struggling to take their awnings down after they realised it was going to be too windy.
If you are looking for a site on Morecambe Bay, you can’t get better than Bay View

We love this site it truly deserves its 5 star status. The whole site is clean and attractive. The touring pitches are large and are separated by a neatly trimmed hedge. Facilities are very good and clean.
The staff are friendly and efficient. The on site restaurant with dog friendly inside area is welcome. We had the Sunday roast and it was excellent.
There is also an outside dog friendly bar and seating area we could have had our meal there. There is a games room for the children and a pool table.
Access to the salt marsh and sea is very good. A short walk takes you to Bay View Garden Centre which is very nice and has a sheltered dog friendly restaurant area with lovely sea views across to Grange over Sands.
The campsite has a lot of static caravans and seasonals which makes for a relaxed quiet atmosphere. Also a tent and camper van field. They now have a few camping pods too.
And on top of all this they have a rally field for members of the Camping & Caravan Club, which actually has the best sea views on the site. Just fabulous.

This is our regular site for short breaks as it is only 1. 5 hours from home and very easy to access.
This time we stayed for 5 nights and the site was as good as ever. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. There are a lot of hedges, as each pitch in the lower area is separated by a tall hedge from the neighbouring pitch, but when we were there, these were being trimmed and looked really smart.
One of the things that we love about this site is the space around each pitch. The hardstanding is plenty wide for a caravan and awning; we have a normal width caravan and 2. 5m deep awning and there was probably still a metre of space between the edge of our awning and the grass, so you could easily fit a wider caravan and deeper awning.
Then there is loads of room across the front of the pitch to put your car without it encroaching on the road. In addition, you also get a good sized grassy area to the side of the pitch. These vary in size from about 2m at the smallest, up to about 6m at the widest and all touring pitches have a massive grass area behind the pitch as well so it feels really spacious.
The majority of the site is seasonal pitches so was really quiet during the week but came alive at the weekend. The bar and restaurant is only open at weekends as there are so few people on site during the week. We enjoyed both the peace and quiet of the site during the week and the more lively atmosphere at the weekend.
We love it here!

We visited Bay View regularly last year and we were excited to be heading back for our first trip of 2025.
The site is just as good as ever.
Spotless facilities, huge pitches and a lovely location for walks, right on the coastal path.
This will be the first of many visits to Bay View this year.

Twixmas 3 night stay at Bayview, bliss! We've stayed on this site a few times over the years at various times of the year and every time we come back, the welcome is as sincere and the standards are as good as the 1st time we visited over 10 years ago.
My only negative is the comings and goings of other site users to the facilities block (which is superb I might add) by car! Are folk really that lazy.
Yes! It's not the end of the world and non of my business I hear you say but it does mean that at times the road way around the site is busy and noisy which just takes the edge of the quiet ambience of what is otherwise a lovely site.
Great food at very reasonable prices in the dog friendly on site restaurant /pub. Massive fully serviced pitches with a mix of seasonal and touring units.
I would recommend this site wholeheartedly and definitely visit again.

This was our fourth visit to Bay View this year and again, everything about the site was great.
The pitches are a great size and well separated by hedges providing lots of privacy and the facilities were beautifully clean as always and lovely and warm.
The weather was poor when we were there but we still had a great time and there is plenty to do within a decent radius of the site.
Can’t wait to go back again.

I’ve already reviewed this site twice this year (February and April) but this was our first time going during the school holidays so I thought I would make a comment about this.
I am always wary of going away during school holidays because children can get a little over excited and disturb my sought after peace and quiet but Bay View remained lovely and peaceful, even at the end of July.
I think because much of the site is seasonal pitches, the seasonal folks are usually only around at the weekends so during the week, it is very quiet.
However, even at the weekends the site was still peaceful.
There were a number of kids around but they all seemed polite and quiet and the children’s play area is quite far from the pitches so any noise from there won’t carry to the caravan.
We had a lovely week and will continue to go to Bay View when we don’t want to travel too far from home.

This was our first visit to Bay View from the minute we arrived the service we received was 5 star.
After checking in a warden met us and showed us to our pitch then helped me back in.
Well laid out site including the dog field.
Toilets and shower block spotless.
More dog poo bins would make it even better.
We enjoyed the site that much we have booked to go for longer in a week's time.

Great facilities. Always clean, good staff, good location and easy to get to.
Hard standing and fully serviced pitch. 16 amp electric.
3 nights +1 free.
Club House only open weekend's.
Lots of supermarkets within a mile or so.
Will go again.

This is our regular site for quick weekends away and I have reviewed it before a couple of times however, I just wanted to note that the new toilet block is now open and is really excellent.
My only gripe is the same as I have for many sites -push button showers! Apart from that, the block was spacious, immaculate and lovely and warm.
This is a very welcome addition to what has always been a great site.

We had a lovely three nights at Bay View. As always, the sites was immaculate and even though it poured down the whole weekend, the large hardstanding pitches coped well.
The site was very peaceful and quiet which you would expect in February.
In my review last year, my only criticism of the site was the second toilet block which was in a portacabin. It was great to see that a new toilet block is in the process of being built where the old portacabin block used to be.
This looks great from the outside and while we were there, builders were hard at work doing some beautiful stone cladding that made the outside look a little like a dry stone wall.
This will look beautiful when finished and I am sure the inside will be just as good.
This will be an excellent addition to what is already a great site.

Hands down one of the most beautiful, clean sites we’ve ever visited. Fantastic dog exercise area and dog friendly pub and restaurant. Food lovely and reasonably priced.
A huge thank you to the friendly staff, from reception, wardens and bar staff. Their service is to be commended.
Cannot wait to return for a longer stay.

Lovely site, very friendly and helpful staff.
Facilities clean and tidy. Bar and restaurant staff helpful, food great and drinks average price.
Overall had a great time at the site and is ideal for links to Morecambe and Lancaster.
The only downside is they don’t do electric hookups for tents.
But it must be a good site as we’ve return 3 times even without electric.
