Excellent facilities with the new toilet block’s unisex cubicles, immaculately clean.
The whole site is neat and tidy, and surrounded by trees and a babbling brook.
Staff very friendly and helpful about places to go and to eat. Good location just off the A9 to Inverness and is on the SC500 route.
Good pub 5 minutes walk away which is dog friend, , excellent pizzas which they will do as takeaways.
There is a Co-Op next door and a post office and small cafe. A good place to stop. Will come again

This site is set in a beautiful forest with two pubs and a CO-OP 5 minutes walk away.
Most of the space is dedicated to statics and chalets, but there is a dedicated touring area for tents, caravans and motorhomes.
Place is very tidy with good facilities. The new toilet block is unusual in that it is a series of unisex individual cubicles that are quite large, with their own sink, toilet and shower. They are absolutely pristine and the power shower is one of the best I have ever had.
BUT. This place is far too cramped! The units look to be about 4 meters apart, never mind the 6M acceptable standard and when you have a car between caravans it just feels downright claustrophobic.
The road between the rows is also very narrow, so some new arrivals were struggling to get their unit in safely.
That said, the site is well looked after.
I was going to give a seven because of the cramped feeling, but they redeemed themselves in the quality of the toilet/shower block.

Used Blackrock last weekend. Site is excellent. Staff extremely helpful had a problem with a punctured Jockey wheel, tyre and rim replaced by Chris on site and returned Within an hour at a very reasonable price. Site is clean tidy well kept. Toilet block and showers are combined and are five star. Would highly recommend this site to anyone going up to the Dingwall Invergorden area

Spent one night as stopover heading up north. Great site, very well tended, neat. Facilities block fantastic, warm, spotless. Mix of statics dotted about, tourers etc. Great surroundings, dog friendly. Helpful staff.
As others have said some touring pitches on the tight side, at 6. 3M tail end almost hanging out onto site road, which is also narrow, but it is one way.
Good accessible motorhome service point.
Great Indian takeaway will deliver. Lots of info at reception area.
It might just feel a bit squeezed when it’s full but I would certainly use again.

We have used this site for a couple of nights over the last few years, my wife's father is buried in the next village so we have a annual grave run. Blackrock is a site that is kept Very clean and tidy, the pitches are fine but some of the site roads are a little tight for larger units, there are plenty of statics and a bunk house on site and when we have been there it is quite enough and every one seems to get along pretty well. In the village the Nova arms serves good food, there is also a co-op for any shopping needs plus a Morrison store and fuel in Alness the next village north. Next year there is promised a new toilet block. Arthur

Noisiest site I've ever been on! Although you can't hold the site responsible for other peoples children running riot and generally being a nuisance, you can for the fact that they let people in very late on!
The site is mainly a static caravan park with an area for tourers and is a bit regimented although the hard-standing pitches are quite good being fully serviced.
Facilities are clean and are adequate but are very busy if the site is anywhere near capacity.

A 'Premier Inn' of a caravan site!
Well located, very well equipped, well maintained; BUT just rather claustrophobic and institutional.
Adjacent to village with shops, pubs and takeaways, just off A9.
Also full of seasonal lets and perms.
Ok if you like that sort of thing, not our idea of a countryside holiday.

Just spent a night in the super pod, WOW! takes glamping to a new level. Luxury at a reasonable price. All the luxury of a hotel but with the self catering facilities of a full size holiday Home, will be back but for a few days next time, only problem when everyone gets to know will never be a free night.

Stayed at the above site from 6th - 10th May and used the bunkhouse facilities for a change - IS THIS THE BEST BUNKHOUSE IN SCOTLAND - IT CERTAINLY IS ! The facilities were superb with beautiful kitchen and lounge area fully equipped including colour tv and leather sofa. The bedrooms were also equipped with 2xdouble bunks complete with duvets, pillows and an electric fire. It is situated in Evanton just a few miles from Inverness and the village has a Co-op which is well supplied and a number of eating places to choose from.
There is plenty to see and do in the area including the famous gorge with many walks to keep you fit.
Please give this superb bunkhouse a try - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

One night here, heading north. First impression is off-putting as the lower area by the entrance is packed with new statics for sale, like a train marshalling yard. There was a discount for CCC members, so it cost £17 for a hard standing pitch with a drain (but no tap), plus the £1 EHU card which had a bit left on it next morning. (Not sure what you do if your card runs out and the office is shut?) Friendly helpful manager, walked with us to a choice of pitches. A very neat & tidy site, closely mown, with lots of flower tubs. Motorhome service bay conveniently sited with a long water hose. Dog run in the woods was ideal, and there's also a picnic area by the burn. Showers free, and on or off (not pulsed), but my one quibble is that the doors appear to be home made, so they're not the standard size - I hit my head (twice. ) on the door frame as I didn't think to duck!
It's well worth walking the half hour to the Black Rock gorge, an unexpectedly dramatic narrow canyon with 2 bridges over it. As others have said, Alness (Morrisons), Tain & Dingwall (both Tesco) are the places for the shopping. Happy to recommend the site for a longer stay.
