 This is my wife and I 2nd visit to this lovely little site. There are only 5 pitches so it's very quiet, the banks of the Shropshire union Canal.
There is some road noise, but that didn't disturb us on either visit. We met up with friends for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.
It's about 45 minute walk into Whitchurch, when the canal path is open, or 30 minutes walk by road. There is a bus stop outside the campsite with buses to Whitchurch and Chester.
The facilities are tired and could do with a refresh, but we used our own shower so it didn't affect us.
The site is kept immaculate, by Tom the owner. There is recycling for plastics, cardboard, bottles and tins and a pot wash.
We had a lovely walk to 2 local pubs The Willeymoor Lock Tavern (1. 7 miles walk) and The Horse and Jockey (10 minute walk).

This really was the most perfect place. A picturesque, waterside location and with plenty of tow path walks virtually on the doorstep.
There is a bit of road noise but less than expected considering how convenient the site is to the A41.
I was welcomed by Tom who was polite and friendly and keeps the site absolutely beautifully presented. Clean, tidy, grass is short and well maintained and toilets and showers clean and well supplied. All for a very reasonable cost.
A caring approach to having my dogs with me, giving me a quiet pitch as requested. I didn't have a hook up though one was available. All in all, a lovely visit and I plan to visit again.

Lovely space. Only small number of pitches but practically level with the canal.
Tom the owner is lovely and always happy to have a chat.
Short stroll along the canal brings you to the local pub which had some lovely food and ales (Tom will tell you the best route to walk there that keeps you away from road as much as possible).
Canal walk to Whitchurch has a diversion due to the breach not far away, but still a lovely walk.
Overall very relaxing and will go back again when weather is warmer

A lovely site situated right on the Grindley Brook staircase locks. Tom, the owner, replied to our enquiry very quickly and booked us in.
Our friends had stayed on this site and recommended it to us, and we had viewed the site before while on a canal holiday, so we were happy with the location.
We were greeted by Tom on our arrival, and he explained the layout and where our pitch was. We had electric and our own water supply, and the excellent shower and bathroom facilities were a short walk away.
Whitchurch town is a picturesque walk along the canal, and there is a canal side cafe close by where you can sit and watch the canal boat hirers negotiate the locks. Great entertainment!
I highly recommend this site and we will be visiting again very soon. Thank you Tom.

Lovely little site on the side of the locks at Grindley wharf.
Short walk along the camel into Whitchurch with plenty of shops and places to eat/ drink.
Tom the owner is a lovely chatty man.
Site has toilets and showers which were very clean.
We will be returning

Absolutely loved this small site EHU shower and toilet also wash up area right on the bank of the canal and three locks enjoyed our stay with our two dogs,
Tom the owner is a lovely person and very chatty
Great place to stay
Shop and garage close by, with a pub within walking distance which does food,
Very busy road but we didn’t notice after a while,
We will definitely booking to stay again
One small dislike states Adults only but there was a child on site when we were there who was a bit noisy at times

What a little gem! Fantastic little site right on the edge of Grindley Brook canal locks.
Tom, the owner, was a delight with a great sense of humour.
The site was well kept, with limited, but well maintained facilities.
If you want a quiet, relaxed site with plenty going on on the canal, this site is for you.
The site is within easy reach of an excellent pub (the Horse and Jockey) and on the bus route from Chester to Whitchurch.

Always a warm welcome from Tom.
Easy to book. Cash on arrival. Small cosy site. Local pub, canal, cafe. Walk to Whitchurch one way or Willey Moor pub otherway.
Petrol station with shop.
Lovely views of the locks and canal boats.
Toilet, shower, chemical toilet. Ehu and water. Tv reception good too.
Also in ease for take away delivered from Whitchurch. Its our go to for a quick get away with dog. X

A good basic site, perfectly placed by the Canal and within an easy walk of Whitchurch.
We would use it again for its convenient location to Whitchurch.
