A small site with nicely laid out flat pitches on grass. The bar and restaurant are good value and serves nice food.
Separate men’s and women’s facilities with 3 showers and 3 open wash basins the toilets are next door with 3 cubicles and 2 handwash basins. Soap and paper towel provided. All kept clean.
Shower cubicles are small with a shower curtain and folding door. The showers have an extremely short timer requiring you to keep your hand on the push button. There is a brand new family sanitaire with two big shower rooms.
A good site for a stopover to visit Prague as transport is cheap.
You can get the train, a 15 minute walk to the station and then swap to a tram to the city centre.
We stayed here for two nights en route to Greece from the UK. Travelling with three children. We had pre-booked and arrived 10. 30 pm having experienced some delays from arrival at Hoek (Holland) on overnight ferry.
Although the site had closed for the night, they opened up again for us and let us in. The next morning they even subbed us some cash so we could travel into Prague. All in all, extremely helpful and accommodating owners.
The site itself is lovely, we pitched on a field near the play area, with plenty of space. There was electric hook up, including a normal voltage plug that we could recharge our phone on! The toilets and showers were clean with plenty of hot water. Washing up facilities also great.
There is a bar and restaurant on site which will do food if you ask in advance. On our second night they did a great chicken and chips as well as pizza for our kids which got a big thumbs up, plus beers and coffee for the grown ups.
There is a river alongside (but there is a fence to access the riverside so no danger of little ones falling in!) Also a small splash pool very near, and a pizzeria (though this was closed when we were there).
Very helpful on info for going into Prague too. The train station is about 10-15 mins walk away; regular trains in and out of Prague - all the info available at the campsite. We spent a lovely day in Prague, wandering around and with a visit to the toy museum.
Highly recommended. Would definitely revisit.
