We have been coming to this site for a few years now and it just gets better and better every time. Duncan and Elizabeth the owners never stop improving this beautiful site it is always immaculate.

Everyone is treated as a friend and nothing is too much bother. Thank you both for another fantastic holiday we looking forward to next year.

Review for Monday 3rd Sept through to Wednesday 5th. We were booked into another site which was close by. We phoned as per arrival notice suggested and got no answer. We decided we did not like the look of the site and decided to have a drive around and see if anything else was available. We found this site across the road and immediately were captivated by the welcome and friendliness we received from Duncan (Owner).

The camping site is suitable for Car & Caravans, Motorhomes and tents with hard standing and grass pitches not jammed together but well spaced out. It cost us £22. 00 for 2 adults and 2 small dogs with EHU. Thats £9 per adult and £4 for electric. The site is immaculately tended by Owner and his Wife.

The toilets are spotless with flowers, air fresheners and little ornaments here and there with hand cleaner at sinks. The showers are also spotlessly clean and beside the showers is a hut with micro-wave, fridge, freezer, all free to use, with books and dvd’s if you need peace and quiet for a wee bit of “me time”. There's a dog walking area ( in woods next to toilets ).

The views are wonderful looking out over the sea at Tralee Bay with Oban and Islands with in the distance Ferries moving to and fro. The beach which is about 3/4 mile long is about 5-10 minutes walk down the path from the site and is lovely. The only downside is the showers are token operated (1 token costs £1 and gives 10 minutes hot water ). I will happily come back to this camp site and pay £1 for the showers as it is a truly wonderful small friendly campsite.

We have been to other sites with facilities that could not even begin to compare to this one and paid up to £30+. We cannot praise site and Owners any higher.

If you're reading this review. Book it. You won't be disappointed.

Here are some of the reasons why :

1. The site is run by Duncan and Elizabeth, it is immaculate with lots of nice touches. The facilities are lovely and kept spotless, no push button showers £1 for 10 mins.

2. This is a small site, very peaceful and the pitches are spacious they do not cram people in. The views are amazing from every pitch.

3. There is a room with fridge, freezer microwave and table and chairs in. The black rock curries are well worth a try, they are kept in the freezer, there is also rice and naan breads. You help youself then pay the owners. We did and they were very good. There are books, dvds and games and local information.

4. The beach is a 5 mins walk away and doesn't get crowded. There is a cycle route into Oban most on cycle paths also cycle paths in the other directions. Bus from main rd to Oban £4. 20 adult return. We did the 3 Island tour to Mull, Staffa and Iona which was well worth it.

5. What more could you want.

Thank you Duncan and Elizabeth for such a lovely stay on your site. Keep up the good work !

Brilliant site, very well keep. Duncan is constantly keeping the site spotless and the site is so popular. 5minute walk to the beach, and the view from your caravan is to die for.

The area around the site is fantastic. Oban being the jewel and great has so much to offer. Whilst at the site we saw sea eagle which was superb. Well done Duncan again Brilliant.

This is a lovely site with great views and close to a beautiful beach. The facilities are kept immaculate and Duncan the owner goes out of his way to make you welcome.

Public transport runs from the village to Oban every hour.

Well kept, immaculate site, modern, spotlessly clean facilities.

Quiet yet convenient for all shops and amenities.

As it says in the title, seaviews from every pitch and a 5 minute walk to a long stretch of beach for dogs and humans alike.

The owner was friendly and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Last visited this site in 2008. Now being run by Duncan (son of previous owner) who has made considerable improvements. New toilet and shower blocks are spacious and kept immaculately clean.

Views out across the Sound of Mull are to die for and the island ferries can be seen in the distance. Local shop selling caravan/tent accessories and about 15 minutes from Oban for everything else. I wish all sites were as good as this one. We will definitely be back.

Stayed a week at this site which was beautifully located looking over the sea. Facilities were first class and kept very clean. Tends to catch the wind but other than that very good owners are very friendly and helpful will certainly go back again John and Margaret

I cannot praise this campsite enough. Situated in peaceful surroundings and a 10 minute walk from the beach it is a perfect way to unwind and relax. Duncan greeted me with a smile and was so helpful and welcoming. He was around if you needed any help but also respected everyone's privacy.

The site is immaculately clean. The beach is perfect. A wonderful haven.

15 minutes walk into the village where you find a wonderful cafe with great homebaking, a village store open until 10pm, and a gift shop.

A great stay and once again thank you to Duncan for providing excellent amenities. I will definitely be back
