 All round excellent small site with good access and facilities (though I didn’t need to use them) and helpful friendly owners.
Along with the fantastic view comes quite a bit of exposure to wind compared other more sheltered places off the moor.
It’s a working farm environment, currently doing more groundworks around the site, so there was a bit of noise from 8am but this might not be typical.
Will definitely use it again.

As others have said the site offers great views. If you like to walk then you can get onto the coast to coast very close to the site and make your way down to Robin Hood Bay through countryside footpaths not much venturing onto roads at all.
Greeted soon after arriving with offers of assistance.
There are plenty of water points dotted around and the toilets and showers are fine but still unfinished. £1 a minute for the showers I think is a bit steep and there didn’t seem to be a anywhere to wash up.
There is a tire swing and wooden train.
Nice picturesque site, well located.

The site has lovely views over Whitby towards the abbey
Showers and toilets were clean and warm

Clean site with outstanding facilities.
Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to family and friends.
Jane was accommodating even though we booked last minute.
Only a short drive to whitby and other nearby attractions.

Lovely place with amazing views.
Really friendly and helpful. Thank you Jane! There was a mix of vehicles: majority caravans with a few tents and a camper van.
It’s not a big caravan site with all the extra rules and facilities that go with that. You can walk footpaths straight from the site and there was a tree swing up when we were there too.
You are also well-placed to visit seaside towns along the coast. We got down to Filey, Scarborough and Robin Hood’s Bay. We were there in a gale but being slightly inland helped a lot.
There is mobile signal but it’s intermittent.
The new shower block gives luxurious hot, high pressure water. It was so good I put another pound in the meter!
Fish and chips at Eskdale Fisheries nearby were excellent.
Definitely want to come back, it’s a great site and there was so much more we wanted to do and see.

The site is exactly as advertised with regards to facilities, they are clean and well presented.
The new shower block will be a great asset when it is finished (currently under construction) - hence a point deduction.
The site has amazing views of Whitby town and is only 10 minutes away by car.
Local villages had pubs that do food - and very good food too.
I would recommend the site to anyone who asks

Stop at the Lound House camp site last night
The lady at the farm house was lovely she showed us our pitch it was lovely
Their toilets nice and clean and was such a lovely view as well
Would stay again when we return

The family was very friendly and welcoming.
Let us pick a pitch the was right for us and helped with siting the caravan on the pitch as we were slipping on the grass.
We will definitely be going back.

Lovely site with amazing views over Whitby Abbey and Whitby itself.
Quite high up so be aware of weather forecast.
Host lovely too.
Will definitely be returning.
Once new loo and shower building is complete the facility score will be 10/10

From the moment you enter the site you are instantly distracted by the panoramic views.
This is then enhanced by the warm greeting. We were told we could choose where we wanted to pitch but helpfully directed to wonderful spot, that said every pitch shares the same views.
The toilets are basic but clean. Although there is currently no hot water.
The owner, Jane, pointed out that they are in the process of building a new toilet and shower block.
Good reliable electric and plenty of water points.
We totally switched off during our stay, only disturbed by the swallows or watching ships.
We will definitely will return.
