The review in October well past the the end of the season for camping in France. We were there in July, the site was fully functional, the pool was in use all the time. The toilets could do with upgrading but they were cleaned at least three times a day, and the showers were always hot.
Super you is only 10 minutes drive away, Angeleme 30 minutes. We prefer sites that are quiet away from the peak period crowds this site suited us well, as it must have suited others, as when we were there, there were several campers on a return stay.
We visited the site with a view to 365 storage however there was no security at the site.
The site is situated on back country roads with difficult access. Nearby there are two old / pretty towns but beyond that it is a long drive to the major towns. There was however a very modern supermarche within 30 mins drive of the campsite.
Overall the site facilities were poor and in need of a major overhaul, even a basic maintenance would not go amiss.Weeds etc.
The owners were very pleasant and more than helpful but the site was badly in need of some TLC. There were electrical hook ups, the toilet shower facilities were poor but functional.
The swimming pool was neglected and a breeding ground for the mosquito's which were in abundance.
