 Excellent site with good modern and clean facilities.
Ideal for motorhome users without separate transport as the bus services are at the end of the lane to Felixstow, Woodbridge and beyond.
Our first visit here but we were very impressed and the staff were all excellent and friendly.

I stayed on the CCC certified site. The ground slopes gently and is bounded by Leylandii conifers on one face. The fallen needles reduce the ability of the ground to hold pegs and get traipsed into the tent. Jackdaws in them held a daily "Krraaaw" ing contest at 04:00. Each pitch has electricity available although pitch 5 requires an extremely long lead.
The CCC toilets, showers and pot wash are the best I've seen on any certified site and shame many commercial sites.
The non-member part is very extensive and well kept, the grass being in much better condition than the CCC part, the glade next to the small river being particularly pleasant.
I found the noise from the quite distant A12 and nearer railway quite discomforting, the overall noise level being higher than my home.
The site has security gates with electronic closers.
Woodbridge and Martlesham Heath are a short, but hilly, cycle ride away with a decent chippy up the hill and a nice pub in staggering distance.
My only gripe would be the poorly designed chemical toilet emptying point which is just a standard toilet pedestal with a short hosepipe nearby.

Only positive thing I can really say about this site is the quality and cleanliness of the toilet block. Didn't try the Red Lion so don't know if proximity was a good thing or not.
Pitches are far from flat, having to raise the front of the caravan almost as far as it would go and raising off-side wheel at least 3 inches. The field is poorly kept with long grass in places and big bare patches that made the field muddy when wet.
There was a power cut while we were there and because the site owner didn't know how to manually override the gates we were trapped on the site and couldn't go out.
On our last day, we let the owner's husband know we were going out to catch up on visiting Felixstowe which we had missed the other day when locked in and that we'd be back to pack up. We started to pack up as soon as we got back but after about 10 mins the next caravan arrived. They were very understanding and happy to wait another 10 mins while I moved our caravan out of the way so they could pitch up without waiting for us to pack away.
The owner's husband however was very unpleasant to my wife, shouting at her we should have left by 11, despite us telling him what we were doing earlier when we saw him and he was very angry that our caravan was blocking pitch 1 while we tidied up despite it being hitched to my car so very easy to move again if we needed to), leaving a very bad taste in my wife's mouth.
We didn't expect much from a CL and was only using it as a base for each night, but for basic facilities, £30 a night was a stretch. We had asked for the CL field rather than the rally field expecting it to be nicer, but it was very shaded, muddy and rally field looked much nicer and far more spacious.
We also heard from the incoming caravan that they were there for a wedding with 150 guests at the weekend - very relieved we weren't going to be there at the same time.

Lovely field. Very peaceful.
Clean facilities, lovely warm showers.
Handy site for lots of activities Framlingham castle, Sutton Hoo, Felixstowe, Orford castle.

Booked this for our inaugural trip to try my wife's GoPod, which has no shower and (very) limited toilet facilities.
Friendly reception from both Kylie and her Dad (thanks for helping with the awning!)
Quiet site with good clean showers, toilets, and washing up area.
The site also functions as a party venue; we were warned that there was a function on the Saturday. It wasn't really a problem.
Would definitely revisit.

Booked on phone, very welcoming and helpful. Very easy access to site, very spacious pitches, wonderful facilities, clean and spacious.
Lots of information leaflets. Fridge freezer in wash up kitchen, free to use.
It was our last holiday with our 16 year old dog, she enjoyed pottering around on the spacious field and loved the shady dog walk through woodland.
Lots of eateries nearby and large supermarkets. Pretty villages, not too far from Orford Quay, where you can take boat trips around an RSPB reserve.
Also close to Sutton Hoo. Loved the site and will return.

Brilliant site, very friendly owners.
The facilities are well kept and very clean.
We were quite a long way from the electrical point and our cable wouldn't reach, no problem, they were happy to loan us one.
Very good for walking, especially alongside the river to Woodbridge.

Stayed two nights here as we really needed to chill out! Beautifully kept site and the owners came to welcome us personally!
A club rally was being held on the large field but did not bother us at all with any noise etc.
Ideal base to explore area but that’s next time for us as we just needed a rest this time.
Great farm shop just up the road, where you can stock up on eggs, fresh veg etc, and a pub 5 minute walk (one for another day for us)
Lovely walk directly opposite site through some woods which our dogs really enjoyed!
We will be going back!

There are two campsites here. One is for Caravan Club members and the other is for non-members. Non-members have different facilities to members.
There is plenty of space on the rally field with a few hook ups available. The site is flat and well drained with views of the countryside. It's in a good location for walking into Woodbridge.
There is a train line close to the campsite but this wasn't a problem.
There is an aggregate business run from the same location so there were lorries and diggers parked on the site.
The non-member toilets had two male showers and loos and two female showers and loos. They were adequate but could do with more frequent cleaning. There is a chemical toilet point but no grey-water disposal point.

Secure site in an excellent location for places of interest in the surrounding area.
Toilets and shower facilities were clean and spacious.
The pub down the road was also convenient and welcoming.
We will definitely use this site again if we are in the area.
