 We visited to see the Tapestry- which had closed 2 says before for next 12 months for renovation!
We followed Sat Nav which took us. To the swimming pool carpark where entrance used to be. Entrance is now at other end of site.
On arrival park outside where shown and walk into book in - if you drive in you block entrance/exit.
Agree with previous reviews, site and facilities extremely well kept. Electric is 6amp.
We walked to cathedral along river, took us 20 minutes- although site said about 10 minutes less able may that a push.
Opposite site is a big retail park and also a great park for dog walking.
Bayeux town is beautiful, plenty to see and do, shops galore and full pavement cafe experience.
For October we were surprised how busy town was.
It was only 10 minutes drive from site out to Arromanches to DDay museums and beaches
Campsite probably 50% full, booking not needed.
Love the site and town, will. Visit again.

This Site was Immaculate, Maintained to a high standard, with all areas spotlessly clean at all times, Grassed areas and Planting was presented at a very high standard.
On Arrival, Access to the site is Good, via the Ring road, and despite near the ring road, Traffic noise with minimal to non existant. The Site is Secure, with Locked Gates over night, Access is gained with a PIN code through Pedestrian gates. Unfortunately, Reception did give us the wrong code initially, and we struggled to get in on the first night, but a Minor inconvience, quickly resolved.
The Facilities are all that you need to camp, Whilst there is no pool on site, you do have free access to the Municpal Pool next door.
The Staff on Site bend over backwards to help you, so much so we Turned up very early, at 8am, and as our Pitch was Vacant, they allowed us to set up then rather than the normal arrival time. On One occasion, we forgot to order our Morning bread, and we messaged them via the website, and they happily reserved us our requirements.
The location is perfect, a 10 minute walk down the Footpath beside the river takes you to the town centre and Tourist information. This is a Safe footpath, away from Traffic and Roads, if coming back after dark, it is recommended to bring a torch for the last 100 m or so where there is no street lighting.
It is a very busy site, and I suspect that a reservation is always required (we tried to stay in June 2024, and it was Fully booked. ) On this Occasion, we were visiting for the Tour de France, and the site was Full through out our stay. We made our booking in advance by Calling in person, at Easter, to make our Reservation as we were passing. Even then they had only 2 Pitches remaining, one of which we took. Pitches are a Good Size, and accommodated our Large Tent and Car.
We Would Recommend staying here, and we will be coming back, but booking would be essential, this is not a site I feel you can just turn up at.

We used this site as a stopover to Caen ferry but it is ideal for visiting this lovely City.
Most of the plots are served by a central tarmac strip bounded by a low kerb with grass border.
Most plots are very nice and sunny but plots M1-M5 are in shade most of the time. We found the pitch difficult to park in due to the narrowness of the service road.
Nice clean toilets, showers etc.
Within east walking of all Bayeux has to offer.
Early departure of 6. 00am was very helpful.

Excellent site in the town of bayeux within easy walking distance of the town for bars and restaurants ( about 10 to 15 mins walk) and a good base for ww2 site visiting
Worked out around £21 a night for us - 2 adults and caravan with electric
You can get more discount with acsii out of season
Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained, the staff in reception have very good english and are very friendly.
Only gripe is there is toilet roll in the toilets but no handsoap, so you will have to take your own, we managed by decanting some into old hand sanitiser bottles.
In the town there is leclerc, carrefour, aldi and lidl with fuel stations
A brilliant site, highly recommended

Love the central location of this site within walking distance of Bayeux.
The sites shower and washing facilities are plentiful very clean and easy to access.
Staff on reception are welcoming and very helpful.
This was our second visit to the site and would highly recommend it to others.
There were food trucks at the site both nights we stayed although we didn’t use them as we had already bought food.

Nice clean site, especially the ablutions area. Added bonus of inclusive entry to the Aqua Centre.
Slightly disappointed by the lack of travelling food van, even though it was still shown as scheduled in the Reception window.
Overall very happy with our stay.

Highly recommend.
Clean, quiet, cultural people and services. :-))).
Swimming pool nearby with price of stay.
Recycling site well organised, clean.
River path near us for walk.
Shopping very close.
City centre 15min walking.

Lovely, well maintained campsite. Clean showers and toilets. Good facilities and pitches are private and a great size.
Main road is along one side of site and can be noisy during the day but quietens down at night.
Lovely 10 min walk along river to town centre which is beautiful.
Plenty of cycle tracks around and supermarket it only 1km up the road.

Great base for us on a WW2 Battlefield tour, central to whole area. Good sized pitches with power.
Really great ablution block, with showers and washing up facilities and even washing machines.
Check in was very easy.
Back gate to town very useful. Even though near a busy road on the whole the site is very quiet and peaceful.
It would be nice if there was a bit of a convenience store on site but there is a huge carrefour at about 15 mins walk away.
Need to sort out the website, my virus checking software wouldn't let me near it.

The campsite is located just off the dual carriageway.
We had reserved a pitch for a >8m motorhome as we know it's a very popular busy site.
We paid €19 with our ASCI card and were given a hardstanding pitch with grass alongside.
If you go out the reception gate you can easily walk along the signposted path to Bayeux in 10 min. Alternatively go out the top gate and you have the municipal swimming pool and road into town. A McDonald's, Darty and other shops are to the right. If you go up to the next roundabout there is a L'eclerc.
There are 2 washing machines and 1 dryer with tokens bought from reception. Bread can be ordered. At the weekend a van came on site and sold food.
This site is so close to all amenities no wonder it gets busy.
