The site is outside the town centre which is easy to get to and a 10 min walk to get back in. On arrival we had to ring for the warden who arrived quickly, a brief introduction on what was where but no hand out saying about recycling, wifi or time to get off the site?
The site is level with security barriers in and out. Most of the hard standings are taken up with seasonal caravans and the ad-hoc caravana is regulated to the middle of the site on grass pitches.
The pitches are large enough for a caravan, large awning and to park you car. Electric points are close by, we were close enough to the Elsan and grey waste point but if you were down the other end away from the club house it would be quiet a trek.
We enjoyed our 3 night stay, we would go for a short break but probably not for main holiday.
Can't comment on the facilities as they were reduced due to Covid 19

A lovely site well looked after. We were made very welcome by Chris.
There is a supermarket and chip shop just round the corner, 10 minutes walk your in Monmouth town centre, plenty of shops and restaurants.
Half an hour your in the forest of dean.
It was our first visit but we will definitely return

We were met by the warden, Tony, straight away, shown to our pitch, pitch was nice and level,
Toilet and shower block clean, only one problem was one out of two showers working, saying that it is quite a small site, people were very friendly,
Only a 5 to 10 min walk to town, Co op and chip shop outside campsite,
All in all we had a really nice stay here, we definitely return next year.

This site we find perfect. So very welcoming, with regular owners and tourer's alike, everyone speaks and makes you part of such a lovely homely community feeling place.
The facilities are great for our needs, long hot showers at 50p a go, hairdryer, loo’s wash up etc, always clean and tidy (a testament to the hard working wardens, who are again lovely).
Super planted areas, baskets etc constantly being tended, well mown tidy grassed areas, great views past Monmouth into wooded hillside. Our pitch to was spacious and well maintained with hookup.
At weekend the small club on site is open, which should be recommended, sometimes with live entertainment (this was NOT intrusive and banging on all night) good selection of draught beers, pool table, and yet again all very hospitable.
A short pleasant stroll brings you over the river into Monmouth which is a lovely buzzing town, with interesting individual shops, pubs and restaurants.
To sum up, love the place and highly recommend it, thank you for a brilliant stay we will return ASAP
