 This is an excellent facility that provides a cheap alternative to the many very expensive and crowded campsites in Cannobio. Situated right on the river, amongst stunning mountain scenery and a short walk to the lake and town centre, the camper park is ideal. You cannot book in advance and payment is by meter when you arrive - it's 12 euros for 24 hours and you can stay for a maximum of three days.
There is no electric hook up facilities, but there in a motorhome service point, clean toilets and one shower, but it is cold water only.
The area, situated just a few miles from the Italian-Swiss border, is well worth a visit: the scenery is superb, the water/swimming is excellent and the town is very picturesque with many lively bars and restaurants.
There is a good cycle network here and many trails for exploring the local mountains, although it does get very hot in summer. An excellent facility, well worth using.
