Having endured a very rough crossing from Portsmouth to St Malo we didn't want to travel too far so this was a good first stop on our trip around Brittany. You have to drive down a one way street in the wrong direction to get there which is a bit disconcerting, but the site is worth the trauma. The team at reception were very welcoming and indulged my need to practice my conversational French! (even though I suspect their English was better!)
We were able to choose our pitch and picked one which was in the higher part of the campsite with great views over the sea and the islands.
Very quiet in mid May - only 3 other campers there, but still all the facilities were open, including an undercover swimming pool.
The GR footpath goes past the campsite and you can walk easily to some viewpoints.
There is a small shop with 'products of the region' e. G. Cider, etc but not much more. If you needed a supermarket it would be a drive away.
Showers are clean and hot but not very powerful. Ladies and gents were sharing the same facilities when we were there.
