I'm not sure I liked this site when I compare it to the others we stayed on in Normandy. It is possible that it was to do with the weather, after a hot and humid spell it turned into a thundery downpour and a misty morning.
The site itself I found to have quite narrow turning to get into the pitches, which were separated by hedging and required levelling blocks and this was with a 5. 3m campervan.
The toilet block was fairly clean, one thing you need to remember about the toilet area is that you need to take the toilet roll from the communal roll before you go into the cubicle.
We arrived quite late in the day so perhaps didn't get the pick of the bunch when it comes to pitch choice.
I would recommend but perhaps only for a couple of days.
Have visited this site twice now, just for stopovers. Found the owners very pleasant & helpful. Site was very clean with a lovely swimming pool, all facilities were excellent. The only drawback we found was that you need to arrive either before 12. 30 or after 2pm as the reception is closed, and parking in the approach road can get a bit contested with local traffic access. The security is very good as you need a special disc to enter & exit the site
All pitches are of a reasonable size & had plenty of room, considering my unit was 8 mtrs in length. Access to the site using postcode on sat nav, was a bit awkward, but using gps coordinates was so much easier.
This is what I wrote in our log '73. 90 euros for 3 nights, £22. 17 per night. Goodish facilities, clean with free hot showers but no bog paper, soap, nor toilet seats. Enclosed swimming pool. Sloping pitches individually enclosed with privet hedges. '
This site is conveniently placed to visit the lovely seaside resort of Etretat which Monet made famous with his paintings of the white cliffs. We did cycle into Etretat a couple of times, but, be warned, there is a steady climb coming back!
There is a rather eccentric privately owned preserved railway that runs from nearby Les Loges into Etretat. We didn't travel but there appeared to be an aged diesel shunter pulling pedal powered cars. I guess that you pedal down the hill and get a tow back up.
Honfleur is a drive from here, but well worth it, a beautiful old harbour town.
An excellent site for tents and camper vans with well drained pitches marked by hedges. Very helpful managers. Very clean facilities with mixed gender shower and toilet blocks. Urinals in separate building.
Pizza van and man selling wine and cider come once a week. Small cafe for (preordered) breakfast. Bread delivered to order. Local baker, charcuterie and small supermarket nearby.
Covered swimming pool. Large field for ball games but no organised children's activities. Local velo-rail/train into Etretat. We used bikes or car to get around. Car needed to visit most places unless you are a very keen cyclist.
Tips - take your own sink plug and toilet roll. NB No seats on toilets.
We spent 8 nights here and would happily stay there again if we were in the area.
