 This was perfect for us (2 adults) We stayed for 2 nights and had everything we needed. The site was clean. Electric worked (there was still some electric from the previous people). The toilets and shower facilities looked new and were lovely.
The pub on site, provided meals and beverages at good prices which was much appreciated. It was quiet at night.
This is a no fuss site which provides the essentials and is very clean. We enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it.
The pub was very friendly and the locals welcomed us. The food was fantastic (I recommend the ribs) but make sure your hungry the portions are huge.
The shower block is on it's way and I guess shouldn't take too long to finish now.
I would highly recommend popping to tillingham too a lovely village

Enjoyed 2 nights here camping again for the first time in 25 years. Very friendly pub with reasonably priced meals although pub over the road is a little cheaper.
They should install a shower block as this was the only thing missing from a perfect weekend. Full english breakfast with tea or coffee is only 4.95 but only served till 10am.
Nearest shop(nisa)is 2 miles away as is fish and chip shop and indian take away. River blackwater also approx 2 miles away. Would definitely stay here again. Very cheap

This is a nice level field at the rear of the pub, well away from the road, with good shelter from prevailing winds along one side. Electricity and water are both on the less sheltered side. There is a garden area at the rear of the pub with a rickety children's' slide, otherwise no children's' amusements.
The toilet block consists of a building site type unit, which provides 2xWC plus urinals for men and ONE WC for ladies. There are no showers. Hot and cold water are available, but due to limited size of facilities they do get rather grubby at busy times, most often out of loo roll. The staff at the pub are friendly and helpful and try to keep up with the demand for loo rolls!
The pub has a restaurant with specials usually available and food is generally good. Get there early for the curry night on Thursday!
The nearest shop we could find was at Maylandsea, and the nearest major shops are at Maldon. (Super splash park and pritate ship at Maldon Promenade park - both free!)
