 Arrived at the site Sunday, wasn't overly impressed, there was only 3 other vans on site. Come Monday we were the only ones there for the rest of the week.
There was 2 toilets and 2 showers, they were very grubby and dirty, there was no toilet paper, we had to use our own for the whole time we were there, also they weren't cleaned the whole time we were on site.
The owners/wardens weren't there from day 1.
There was no pot washing facilities, the toilet waste sink area was filthy. There was a lot of noise from the car sales next door, loud powerful jet wash going all day. Grass over grown on every pitch.
We paid £40 per night, we booked for 5 nights, noway is this site worth that, should be £20 per night. We actually left a day early as we'd had enough. Never stayed on a site that was so neglected.
Lovely old pub next door cracking meals.

The location of this site was perfect for visiting nearby attractions. However the day after we arrived one of the roads was closed for roadworks, the road behind the park was used for council workers to park their vehicles. It was extremely noisy, definitely not the relaxing break we needed.
I messaged the owners because I think they will have been aware of the roadworks, and feel they should have informed us in order to make a choice. I know roadworks and noise are not the fault of the owners, but a reply to my message would have helped, I would have also expected a visit from the owners, it seems they don't care.
A few things need updating on the site, the electric hook up point was held together by tape and the light didn't work. The shower doors need replacing. The toilets were clean and well stocked though.
Also our pitch wasn't level which should also be stated on the website.
We still enjoyed our stay as we were out all day but it would have been nice to relax in our awning without noise from the roadworks and workmen swearing.

Excellent location right behind a great pub.
Peaceful site with everything you need.
The site in general is well kept the grass is cut short etc.

The site is secluded from the main road with high hedges, very quiet. The pitches are all hard standing with water and electric.
Facilities are basic but functional and very clean.
It is next door to the Coachman pub who are very welcoming and serve superb food.
For motorhome owners, the bus service runs regularly in a number of directions from right outside the door.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Philpin Farm Campsite - Yorkshire Dales
Beautiful tent only site set on a family run hill farm in the Yorkshire Dales, nestled between Ingleborough and Whernside. The Three Peaks footpath runs right through the farm adjacent to the campsite with lots of walks direct from the site from easy strolls to climbing the Three Peaks, and five minutes to the pub!
Tent pitches only, no electric hookups. Toilet and shower block and washing up facilities. Sit, eat and socialise in the old barn, with free wifi, charging lockers, freezer. At weekends the Philpin Snack bar is open for cooked breakfasts, hot and cold snacks and drinks, ice creams, chocolates etc, on other days there are vending machines in the barn. Find out more here

My hubby booked this for a weekend break. the pictures looked lovely but at £30 a night definitely not worth it
The grass needed cutting, weeds everywhere, noise from the garage washing cars
The toilet & shower looked like it they hadn’t been cleaned for a while, apparently the owner was unwell but surely someone should have come and cleaned and checked the site
Would I return definitely NOT !

Very quiet site even though it is next to a busy road, traffic noise quietens early.
Ideal base for touring area.
If coming from the north check where your sat nav takes you as we ended up going over the moors often on one track roads, scary at times!
Lovely clean toilets/showers, well maintained site.
Next door to a pub which has reasonable priced good food.

Clean & tidy site with good facilities, although shower/toilet room was not heated.
The pitches are not level & blocks are advised. The water connection can be a distance from the caravan set set up so be aware you may not be able to connect unless you have a lot of hose.
The pub next door was a problem, the car park is right next to the pitches on the left as you enter the site. On Sunday night we experienced very loud, drunk people vomiting in the car park around 2230/2300.
I know this is nothing to do with the campsite but it’s wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Very nice peaceful site, very clean,
Will be going there again,
A joy to be caravanning, hey ho away we go,
Not far from Pickering and Thornton le dale, and the local Coachman pub serves some good food and Ale.
