We stayed here as a stop over for 3 nights and I think because of that we were given a small pitch. At first we were disappointed, but the site and area really grew on us and we plan to return, but next time ask for one of the larger pitches.
We went out of season, in July, mainly Dutch, German and French campers, which I prefer.
The toilets are clean (take your own paper) Showers were excellent. The toilet block isn't massive, so if they fill the site to its potential I could imagine some queuing at peak times.
Pitches were mostly level and had hedging.
The pool was lovely and was very clean. The site restaurant wasn't open, but recent new owners and I think they have plans for it.
Pordic is lovely. We like to eat & buy local. Market day is Friday and it is your traditional small food only village Market. There are a couple of bakers shops, a butchers, a fish monger, a very nice organic veg shop, 2 pharmacies, so all you need to cook and eat really well.
There is a restaurant in the hotel, I desperately wanted to try it, they had plastic bottles of water on the table, that shouts solid good food for the locals to me! We didn't have time, so may be next year.
As previous reviews state, lots of walking. An ideal place to pitch and then venture out for day trips. As for finding it, it is easy if you leave the N12 and go onto the D786. Go straight across the first roundabout, don't be tempted into the village, then there is an intersection, pull off the D786 here and it is really well signposted from there.
Finally We took a bike, so riding into the village for breads in the morning was great.
Had a fabulous 5 night stay here - 2 adults, teenager and dog. We struggled to find the site but that's not unusual! Warm welcome from the owners who live in the house on site. Interesting site on different natural levels separated by hedges and shrubs. Good small restaurant on site that offers a small menu. Usual bread ordering service but 20 min walk to village if you want to be independent. Small supermarket and a couple of boulangeries and a tabac but not much else in Pordic. Downhill pleasant footpath (20 mins ish) to a pebbly beach or longer footpaths over the cliffs to other sandy beaches but be prepared to walk. Room with sinks for pot washing and separate showers/loos for male/female. No paper or soap, which is pretty standard for French campsites. Washing machine available during the day (not switched on till 8 ish and my place in the queue was hijacked, but did get it done). I think there is a small play area (didn't use) but there is a pleasant swimming pool which is kept clean. Outdoor table tennis table outside the restaurant. To sum up - great site if you don't mind walking or driving, or just want a quiet relaxing break. We attempted to get a bus to a neighbouring town but fairly infrequent and didn't manage it. No noise at night and our pitch near the entrance and opposite a couple of static vans was plenty big enough for our campervan, an awning and a storage tent.
Not a place for teenagers (they'd be bored and find it too remote from the bright lights), and not a place for young children (as it's a fifteen minute hike down to the beach, which is stony when you get there.) But adults may well like it as much as we did, and if you're active the coastal cliff top walks are attractive.
The owners are delightful, talkative and helpful, and very willing to cook good pizzas or chips for hungry travellers arriving with an empty larder - as we did. But you have to drive out in the morning to find bread - the village is too far to walk and the baker doesn't call.
The site is pretty and well maintained - it didn't have that end of season look at all and the swimming pool stays open as long as the good weather lasts. The toilet facilities are very good and spotless. The owners provide a wealth of information about local markets, places to visit and so on.
I don't pretend it's an easy place to find and we almost gave up, but it's well worth persevering and we shall certainly call there again for a few days next summer. We liked it.
