Just got back home today. Great campsite! To be honest, started at the Gower but after being turned away from every site because they were full or wouldn't accept 3 brothers and a son, decided to venture towards Brecon Beacons.
Couldn't have asked for a nicer site. Site owners were very nice, land was well kept, and facilities were very well kept too.
When one of the cars wouldn't start they were more than happy to help out. I think the emergency ration box is a great touch
The Ynysarwed Farm Campsite is a small family-run campsite in the beautiful setting of the Neath Valley. We only stayed 1 night but were made to feel very welcome and would have loved to have stayed longer. The campsite amenities were to an excellent standard although, for larger groups, there could be a bit of queuing for the toilet/shower, as there is currently only one of each.
The campsite is easily accessible from Swansea and the M4 and just a short drive to the Brecon Beacons. We managed to fit in Canyoning (Gorge Walking), near Glyn-Neath, as well as trips to Brecon and Caerphilly Castle, in two days. There’s also some excellent walking nearby including the spectacular Melincourt waterfalls, a 20 minute walk.
My only two small criticisms would be the close vicinity to the main dual carriage way, which could be heard at times, and the sign post for the farm, which was hard to spot.
All in all a very enjoyable stay.
