We arrived tired from a long days' cycling and the welcome could not have been better. We were shown to our spec and the owner made us feel at home. The surrounding countryside is rather beautiful and remote.
We found a good dry flat spot for the tents, cooked tea and walked the mile into town. We had an excellent night in the Talbot, with excellent live music and real beer - a very lively and memorable night.
After a sound nights sleep we were treated to an alfresco home cooked full Welsh breakfast with home reared hens' eggs and local produce - absolutely superb! This kept us going for hours on the next leg of the Lon Cambrai cycle tour.
There is only one toilet and shower but it is a small campsite and the were no queues. The facilities were clean.
I have to say as a reviewer that this is how I like my campsites - clean, simple, welcoming and quiet.
We left feeling refreshed and happy although a little hung over.
There is a good small supermarket in the town and a wildlife area, Cors Caron which has a traffic free cycle path through it.
