Just returned from a mid-week break at Cosy Under Canvas where we stayed in a Dome. Spacious Dome with a lovely wooden bed, very comfy mattress and bedding all provided. The Dome had lovely sheepskin rugs, Welsh blankets and cushions, beanbags to lounge on along with the futon chairs and a wood burner inside (made from recycled gas bottle!), chimnea on the decking with table & chairs, fire pit complete with tripod and bbq grill or one pot for your stew - and plenty of wood provided. The Hot-Tub does take about 3-4 hours to warm up - but stayed warm till the following day!
Facilities were plenty, shared kitchen has everything you need - including home baked cake which was very yummy Emma! Cool boxes & dry storage boxes to use, gas stoves and the Rayburn to heat the showers (although campers seem more responsible to keep this going). The tree bogs and compost loo's are very Eco-friendly!
Emma & Dan who run the site where friendly and got the feeling nothing would be too much trouble, although we were left in piece too. The 'wet room' at the house is free to use, with freezer and power points and hot shower & flushing loo! Maybe a fridge would be a good addition?
We enjoyed the site, chilling out and total relaxing, but can see that kids would love it as much too - and the Cosy Corner is full of ideas and stuff to do for kids.
Amazing for star gazing, saw the Milky Way so clear. Would love to return with our camping buddies - as there are 2 Domes and 3 Tipi's in all.
A very enjoyable Eco-friendly Glamping experience (no internet, phone signal - no electric!) and maybe next time we would venture out of the site!
