 Member of French Green Key scene, owner has been returning scheme to nature - playground, snack bar and many caravans buried in undergrowth.
Basic facilities only, long grass and much standing dead wood (careful pitch choice required).
Handy for town (which is closed on Mondays) and for beach on river (canoe hire operates from Moulins).
Composting of food wastes.

A wonderful site to find after a 2am depart from Calais and at 21 euros for an EHU pitch for a family of 5 it’s also outstanding value.
Just off of the D2009 a little south of Moulins whilst following the brilliantly planned non toll / toll route as published on the ‘About France’ web page. This is a very shaded laid back site and you are greeted by the owners German Sheppard ‘Cola’ who alerts her owners then goes back to sleep in the shade.
Loads of pitches to chose from and virtually all EHU (no adaptor required here) all flat and all well sized and spaced. There are the traditional French toilets along with normal ones, a bank of 6 showers which were warm and clean and plenty of washing up sinks. This site prides it self on it ‘green’ credentials and has won an award for it and had a different wheelie bin for every element you could bring to it as well as composting.
There is a small play area for the kids to go crazy in after being in the car for some time and we can recommend a short walk back up the hill to the main road to the little bar for that well deserved glass of Pelforth even though La Cortine has its own Bar and if you so desired they’ll cook you up a Pizza.
A great site situated half way between Calais and the Med and just perfect for pitching the pop ups on our slow drive south, next time we’re passing we’ll use it again for a overnight.
