I was completely charmed by Penralltllyn Farm. When you look from the farm entrance, it is located in a beautiful fold in the ground. It is a real hideaway, and for me, this was its charm.
The site is down a farm track just under ½ a mile long, and the well mown pitching area is behind the farm house well sheltered by mature trees. Other than any farm activity or site movements, the only noise is the rustling of the trees. There were only one tent and two other touring vans there during our stay. Four other vans on site looked as though they had not moved for some time. Pitching area is spacious, but if it was full to its quoted 20 pitches, I would guess that pitching might be a little tight.
The wc / washing facilities are conveniently located in one corner of the pitching area. Whilst they are quite clean, they must be considered as basic.
There is a very pleasant riverside walk nearby to Cilgerran Castle.
No local shops, get everything in Cardigan.
To sum up: if you wanted to get away from it all, Penralltllyn Farm would really do the job!
