We used this site in August last year as the final campsite of our holiday. We arrived during the dinner break and the lady came from her house to sign us in, what more could you ask for. Site is quite large and pitches are ok.
Toilets and showers are clean and more than adequate. Booked for first and last nights this year. Usually we sail overnight to St Malo, but decided to take afternoon ferry to Caen and stay here and save a couple of hundred.
Handy for visit to Pegasus bridge, and it should be visited. There are plenty of level hardstanding pitches toward the back of the site.
This is our site for the Caen sailing, didn't see any immigrants around unlike the site nearer to the ferry.
It is an easy 10 minute run from the site to the port.

We have had overnight stops at this campsite for three consecutive years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it - the location is so convenient for the ferry, thus we stop over when disembarking at 9. 30pm and it allows us to get the 8am ferry when travelling home.
The staff are very friendly and obliging and it is very quiet, we've usually had a choice of pitches which is useful when you are aiming for a quick in and out! Not all are that level so if you are staying for longer it's worth checking this out.
There's a small play area and picnic sets in one or two places but the facilities are fairly basic - although there is now loo paper provided! Good hot showers. I believe you can order bread and reception has a few bits and pieces.
There's a restaurant in the village but we have never used it; there's a Carrefour at Ouistreham which should have everything you need.

The site is handy for the Porstmouth-Caen ferry as it stays open for the evening boat which gets you there about 10pm. Although we’ve stayed there before, arriving in the dark made us miss the road & we got ourselves lost in the Normandy countryside.
We finally arrived at 10. 28pm, rang the office bell & Madame came to let us in, saying that as we’d booked in (by email from England) she would have come down for us whatever the time, much to our relief.
The site is fine for a night halt but also for longer stays; it is open all year and is very quiet out of season. Pitches are grassy & mostly level and are demarcated by tall hedges.
The facilities are clean and plentiful, although not all sections are open out of season. Basic supplies can be had from the office and internet is available on the pitch for a small charge.

I have now stayed at this site two times once in 2012 for 3 nights and for one night in July 2014.
I wish I had stayed for another two to three days now I hope to return soon.
This site has no entertainment or a restaurant on site you can get some essential supply’s at reception.
The campsite and facility’s are all kept very clean the pitches are of a good size all grass and most are flat we also found it to be very quiet on both occasions we stayed.
The site entrance has a barrier which you have to put in a code to get in and out.
I would stay again at this site.

I found the welcome at best luke warm, the pitches on the whole quite small, in fact with out my motor mover I do not think I would have got off the pitch.
The toilet blocks were clean.
Although only there for two nights our last night was noisy as the owner allowed a group of young french people to arrive at about 22.30 and have three small tents on one pitch and they were still making a great deal of noise at 1.30 in the morning.
I would only use this site as a night halt, although I will not even be doing that.
The only plus side is it is very close to Pegasus Bridge, and the Caen ferry port.
