I assume you mean in Warwickshire? Are you members of either club and would use their small sites, i.e. without showers/loos but with ehu? If yes to both, I can help, let me know.
Rob, like the look of that, but at 160 miles from Eurotunnel after having done a 4-5 hour drive prior to boarding might be a stretch. Would probably mean getting there about tea time. Any eateries nearby you could recommend?
Pixie, thank you for your recommendations. Out of the two it would probably be Greenhill, not our usual site as too big but for one night could do.
As for Diamond, if your husband was cautious with normal width van we are 8ft so could be snug. I see other people in their reviews commenting on the narrow access and busy / noisy road.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
If you are a member of the C&CC there is an excellent site at Croughton near Brackley, just off the M40 a little north of Oxford. Park View site is just past the now infamous airforce base where the Harry Dunn incident took place.
Run by a lovely lady and we used to be frequent visitors. It does have toilet facilities, but it is at the far end of the field. Only a short distance from Brackley and a large Tesco for food and fuel.
For one night, it’s a stopover. It’s not a major decision to lose sleep over.
I use the Site Search & look at the reviews for sites with the maximum 10 points.
A day of all things motorhome and campervan. The show is held both in the main indoor arena and across the grounds. Catering, hot drinks and food options are available. Easy access to the site and free parking included. Win one of five pairs of day tickets
