can anyone please recommend a campsite within the area of snowdon,

There are quite a few very close to snowdon. We have stayed at the C&CC site at beddgelert (forestry commission one) also Cae Du at Beddgelert, both good.

There is a basic tent site at Rhyd du as well as a few on the LLanberis side.
