Can anyone recommend good sites with sea views on the Lleyn Peninsula? I am looking for one where you can pitch up and actually see the sea from your tent. These seem to be rare, and most coastal sites I have used have not had panaromic sea views.

Thanks for the response. I was, however, looking for somewhere quite a bit further north. Also, this place seems to be a holiday park. Something more basic would be preferred.
Shell Island - we stayed there with our tent, and you could step out of the tent and onto the beach a few feet away - can't get a better view than that!
We stayed at Aberafon in July, you can pitch right near the sea, or there is a top field overlooking the sea. It has really nice views and the facilities are OK.
Although quite a distance away mynydd Du Caravan Park near criccieth has some amazing views of the coast and mountains. The caravans have the pick of the view but i'm sure u could get the view u need.
I would first try Eisteddfa caravan site next door next time though, some of the tent pitches look fantastic (one in particular i have my eye on for next time).
In my opinion you have the dilemma of choosing view over shelter which we needed badly during some harsh weather, also there is nothing nearby in the evening without driving somewhere.
Another vote for Eisteddfa here, have stayed there three times now (although not this year as haven't managed to get out camping at all :() Its near Criccieth but very handy for the rest of the Lleyn.
Not a great photo but gives you an idea of the view from the top of the site. Piccie Another piccie

Theres this one that over looks Aberdaron or try Parsal just before Trefor coming from Caernarfon towards Pwllheli ,just walk to the bottom of the field & there is a path that you can get a car down onto the beach about 300 yards from Trefor pier.Heres the link & the middle picture in my gallery is taken on site, though showing "The Rivals" not the sea.
fits all of your requirements. Highly recommended. The top field gives wonderful views over Bardsey island and the surrounding sea but could be windy. Basic faciilities but clean and friendly owners.
There's one called Morfa Mawr near Aberdaron, I did put a link up but my post seems to have been removed. Anyway - that is lovely and overlooks the sea. You can get down to the beach as well from there. It does get windy though.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
