Anybody know anywhere preferably in England that has cottage/lodge type of self catering and a touring site. I've found a couple on here that I've emailed but one doesn't have the availability and one hasn't got back to me.
Many thanks
Julie
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Try this one. They have one self catering unit plus a touring area for tents and caravans / motorhomes. I think this one is open all year, but lots are not so that may explain why you have not received an answer to your email.
As you're in the East midlands, Searles at Hunstanton does, they have various lodges, cabins and statics, touring and camping. There must also be some more on the larger sites further around the norfok coast. Hope this helps.

We have booked Clippesby for the summer. It was recommended by a few people on here- they have selfcatering lodges and cottages as well and it looks really nice- worth a look? Sarah x
A lot of the type of sites you describe have clauses in their licences that they can only be occupied 11 months of the year. This particularly affects permanent residents of sites in statics or park homes. What it actually means is that a lot of sites close in January and all the permanent residents have to find somewhere else to stay or go on holiday. But this would explain why you're not getting a response from those type of sites.
I have been going through the campsite search and found a couple of sites that I like the look of but they've been booked for the time I need (peak school holidays) I have left it to late to try to book, Other half has just changed jobs and we've had problems with booking time off. The places that are closed might be O.K. as If I can't get responses then hopefully no one else has!!!! If not they will just have to stay in a couple of statics.
One place had availability at beginning of the holidays kids would have to miss two day of school which are usually inset days anyway. Bargain price at £375 for a lovely looking cottage. (Bluming work!!)
Would be so much easier if we could get family and friends into camping.
I'm going to build some nice large cottages and let people camp in the gardens of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
