i am looking for a campsite very near a beach perferably next too, with a playground, a site shop, pub within walking distance, suitable for kids.  any ideas it can be anywhere within four hours of birmingham for week in august

C&CC Norman's Bay near Hastings and Mill House, a few minutes walk inland from Wiseman's Bridge, both near Saundersfoot.

Can you get here in 4 hrs?? Its on my hit list
Trawsdir in Barmouth, Coastal, Shop, Play area, plus a Pub & Chip Shop within walking distance - I have friends who have been here in a tent and loved it.

have a look at freshwater beach bridport dorset it's not cheap but it's like butlins but private.
