Hi,

We are looking at buying a Diablo 900 and we are a little worried we will struggle to find a site in the Lakes that accepts such a large tent.

I know there is the "large tent" thread, but it only lists 3 sites in the lakes. Can anyone with a similar tent recommend a good family site with all the amenities (showers/EHU etc.)

The Camping & Caravan Club have a few sites in the Lakes might be worth looking at one of those.

Camping and Caravanning Club states in their latest info that "There are no maximum dimensions for units accepted at Club sites" although they add that you should contact the individual sites and speak to the manager if you have a large unit as access etc may limit what units they can accomodate.

They have several sites in the Lakes, the one at Windermere I know can accomodate larger tents etc. Cannot comment on the other sites as havent stayed there.

Park Coppice in the lakes have quite large pitches, thats run by the Caravan Club

try park cliffe near windermere ,we were there a couple of years ago .tent pitches were not marked out and there was plenty of room for large tents
